Կոլումբիացի  այս աղջիկը հրաշք նկարներ է անում: Նա ստեղծում է  գեղեցիկ նկարներ,  չնայած, որ ի ծնե զրկված է ձեռքերից: Նա չունի ձեռքեր և ոտքեր և անում է ավելին քան շատ մարդիկ լիարժեք վերջույթներով: Զուլա Սանգուինոն  ապացուցում է ողջ աշխարհին, որ ապրելու ու արարելու համար  մարդուն ոչինչ չի կարող խանգարել: Երբ նա ծնվեց, բժիշկների կանխատեսմամբ նա ողջ կյանքում գամված էր լինելու անկողնուն: Սակայն, նրա մոր ջանքերի շնորհիվ աղջիկը կարողացավ նստել և տեղաշարժվել ինքնուրույն:

Ընտանիքն ապրում էր ծայր աստիճան աղքատության  մեջ, մոր և դստեր վիճակն ավելի  ծանր էր նաև ընտանիքի հոր ագրեսիվ պատճառով: Ընտանիքի վիճակն էլ ավելի վատացավ, երբ հայրը ինքնասպանություն գործեց: Սակայն քաջ կինը չհանձնվեց:  Նա դստերը սովորեցրեց  նկարել՝ վրձինը բերանում պահած  և պարզվեց, որ աղջիկը օժտված է հիանալի տաղանդով ու ահա թե ինչպիսի  գեղեցիկ  նկարներ է նա նկարում:
