Աշխարհին երեք տնտեսական հեղափոխություն է հայտնի: Ագրարային հեղափոխություն, երբ նախամարդը հայտնաբերեց բրիչը ու սկսեց զբաղվել հողագործությամբ: Ինդուստրիալ հեղափոխությունը, երբ հայտնվեցին առաջին հաստոցները, և տեխնոլոգիական հեղափոխությունը, որում ապրում ենք մենք՝ համացանց, համակարգիչ, 3D պրինտեր և այլն: Այլ տնտեսական հեղափոխություն հայտնի չէ: Սա՝ ակադեմիական իմաստով:

Առավել սիրողական կամ քաղաքական իմաստով տնտեսական հեղափոխություն կարելի է կոչել տնտեսակարգի փոփոխությունները, օրինակ՝ կապիտալիզմից սոցիալիզմ անցումը, կամ ֆեոդալիզմից կապիտալիզմ: Տնտեսական կուրսի փոփոխություն կարելի է անվանել նաև առավել սոցիալականից պակաս սոցիալական տնտեսության անցումը, կամ հակառակը: Մի խոսքով, անկախ ակադեմիական, թե քաղաքական կոնտեքստից, տնտեսական փոփոխություն, հեղափոխություն, կուրսի փոփոխություն ձևակերպումները ենթադրում են համակարգային փոփոխություններ, կարգի փոփոխություններ:

Հայաստանում հայտարարված տնտեսական հեղափոխության ծրագիրը ոչ միայն հեղափոխություն չէ, ոչ միայն չի հավակնում տնտեսակարգի կամ կուրսի փոփոխության, այլև եղած կուրսի վերափոխում է, ընդ որում նախորդից էլ մինիմալիստական հավակնություններով: Տնտեսական ներկա ծրագրի հեղափոխական բաղադրիչն, ըստ այդմ, ընդամենը էմոցիոնալ ֆոն է, ինչպես օրինակ հեղափոխական շաբաթօրյակը:

Բայց խնդիրն, իհարկե, ոչ այդքան հասկացության ձևախեղումն է ու դրա մանիպուլ յացիոն կիրառումը, այլ այն, որ բարձրագոչ հայտարարությունների ու սպասելիքների տակ բովանդակային իմաստով ոչ միայն չկա որևէ հեղափոխական բան, այլև չկա որևէ առաջընթացի ծրագիր: Ավելին՝ ինչպես երեկ խորհրդարանում ունեցած ելույթի ժամանակ պարզվեց, հեղափոխության տնտեսական բաղադրիչի հաջողելու գրավականը քաղաքացիների տնտեսական պատասխանատվության դաշտում է: Ինչպես քաղաքական, այդպես էլ տնտեսական հեղափոխությունը, փաստորեն, իրականացնելու են հասարակ քաղաքացիները կամ էլ չեն իրականացնելու: Մնում է այս ամենում հասկանալ իշխանության անելիքը:
