Al Jazeera հեռուստաալիքի կայքում հրապարակվել է հոդված Սիրիայից հայ փախստականների մասին, որոնք վերադարձել են Երեւան Սիրիայում քաղաքացիական պատերազմի պատճառով։
Հոդվածագիր Դորիան Հեյգերի համաձայն՝ ավելի քան 20 հազար սիրիահայ զբաղվել է ոսկերչությամբ։ Նա ներկայացնում է ոսկերիչ Վահե Հովհաննիսյանի պատմությունը, որը հեռացել էր Սիրիայից քաղաքացիական պատերազմի ժամանակ, երբ հենց նրա տան առջեւ ռումբ էր պայթել։
«Այդ ժամանակ ես հասկացա, որ պետք է հեռանամ Սիրիայից»,- ասում է ոսկերիչը։ Հալեպը հայերի համար ապաստան դարձավ այն բանից հետո, երբ նրանք փախել էին 1915թ. Ցեղասպանությունից հետո, նշում է պարբերականը։
«Մենք մեր սեփական փորձով գիտենք, թե ինչ է նշանակում փախստական լինել»,- նշում է IdeA-ում ֆոնդի կապերի գծով մենեջեր Արմեն Մինասյանը։
Հոդվածում նշվում է, որ Հայաստանի կառավարությունը քաղաքացիություն եւ աշխատանքի իրավունք է տրամադրում հայկական արմատներ ունեցող սիրիական փախստականներին։ Բայց, ոսկերչի խոսքով, ավելի ճիշտ կլիներ ընդունել ոչ միայն հայկական ծագում ունեցող փախստականներին։ Հովհաննիսյանը հիմա ապրում է եղբոր եւ ծնողների հետ Երեւանում։
«Ոսկերչությունը հայերի արհեստն է։ Մեր նախնիները պահպանել են այդ մշակույթը դեռ այն ժամանակվանից, երբ փախել են Արեւմտյան Հայաստանից»,- ասում է նա։
Հազարավոր սիրիահայեր այժմ աշխատում են որպես ոսկերիչ, նշվում է հոդվածում։ Հովհաննիսյանի ստուդիայի վերեւի հարկում է տեղավորվել Վրեժ Սրապյանը, որը Սիրիայից փախել է 2011թ.։ Նրա պատրաստած մեկ զարդն արժե մոտ 700 դրամ ($ 1.50)։ «Ես վարձ եմ վճարում սենյակի ստուդիայի համար եւ պետք է ապրուստի համար վաստակեմ»,- ասում է նա։ Պիեռ Ակկելյանը՝ Հայկական ոսկերչական ֆոնդի համահիմնադիրը, նշում է, որ ոսկերչությունը «հայկական ԴՆԹ-ի մի մասն է»։ «Դա մեր պատմության սկիզբն է։ Մենք անհիշելի ժամանակներից զբաղվել ենք ոսկերչությամբ եւ մետաղագործությամբ»,- նշում է Ակկելյանը։
