Իռլանդիայում Փոլին Ջոնս անունով 73-ամյա կինը, որին ծննդից անմիջապես հետո որդեգրել էին, երկար փնտրտուքների արդյունքում գտել է իր հարազատներին, ներառյալ 94-ամյա մորը, որը տառապում է ծերունական թուլամտությունից:
Ինչպես նշում է Mirror պարբերականը, Դուբլինի արվարձաններից մեկում բնակվող Փոլինին մանկատուն են հանձնել կոշիկի տուփի մեջ, որից հետո երեխային որդեգրել են:
Կնոջ խոսքով՝ ինքը միշտ հետաքրքրված է եղել իր կենսաբանական ծնողներով, սակայն վճռական քայլերի չի դիմել՝ վախենալով, որ իրեն չեն ընդունի:
Երկու տարի առաջ Փոլինը սկսել է փնտրել իր ազգականներին: Նախ ԴՆԹ թեստի միջոցով գտել է եղբորը՝ Ռոյին, ապա մորը՝ Քեթլինին, որի մոտ ծերունական թուլամտություն է առկա: Փոլինի խոսքով՝ ինքն ու մայրը արտաքնապես շատ նման են իրար:
Մայրը, սակայն, աղջկան ճանաչել է միայն մեկ անգամ՝ նրան Մերի անվանելով: Փոլինը պատմել է, որ մայրը իրեն այդ անունն է ցանկացել տալ:
Ցավոք, կնոջը չի հաջողվել իրենից հրաժարվելու պատճառների և իր կենսաբանական հոր ով լինելու մասին տեղեկություններ ստանալ:
«Եղբայրս ցնցված է, որ մեզ հաջողվել է գտնել իրար, սակայն հարցրեց՝ ինչու ենք այսքան տարի վատնել: Ես պատասխանեցի, որ կարող ենք միայն լավագույնս օգտագործել այն տարիները, որ մեզ մնացել են ապրելու»,- պատմել է Փոլինը:
