Բունդեսթագի Ձախերի կուսակցությունը դիմել է դաշնային կառավարությանը՝ փորձելով պարզել՝ երկրում արդյոք գործո՞ւմ են էթնիկ հայերի մասնակցությամբ կազմակերպված հանցախմբեր, և Գերմանիայի իշխանությունները դրական պատասխան են տվել:
Այդ մասին գրել է գերմանական Der Tagesspiegel-ը՝ ծավալուն անդրադարձ է կատարելով Գերմանիայում հայկական կազմակերպված հանցավորությանն ու դրա ակտիվացմանը:
Գերմանիայի կառավարությունը հաստատել է ավելի վաղ լրատվամիջոցների արած բացահայտումներն առ այն, որ «օրենքով գողերը», հավանաբար, գործում են երկրով մեկ: Դեռևս 2018թ. նոյեմբերին «Շպիգել» պարբերականը հայտնել էր երկրում «հայկական մաֆիայի» ցանցի գոյության մասին:
Պարբերականը, միևնույն ժամանակ, նկատում է, որ «հայկական մաֆիայի» գոյության վերաբերյալ դաշնային կառավարության դրական պատասխանը տեղին չէր՝ հաշվի առնելով, որ այդ օրերին ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը պաշտոնական այցով Գերմանիայում էր:
Գերմանիայում հայկական մաֆիայի մասին, մասնավորապես, գրված է.
«Կառավարության տվյալներով՝ իրավապահները ներկայում 14 հետաքննություն են վարում 42 մարդու նկատմամբ։ Թյուրինգիա երկրամասը համարվում է հայկական մաֆիայի գլխավոր «բույնը»: Հայկական հանցախմբերի անդամները կասկածվում են փողերի լվացման, խարդախության, թմրաբիզնեսով զբաղվելու, բռնության կիրառման համար: Ներկայում մեղադրանք է առաջադրվել միայն մեկ մարդու:
Գործի հետաքննությամբ զբաղվող քրեական ոստիկանության դաշնային վարչության եզրակացությունում նշվում է, որ «հայկական մաֆիան», իրոք, գոյություն ունի, այն ունի ֆինանսական ռեսուրսներ ու կարող է վտանգ ներկայացնել օրենքի գերակայության համար:
Բացի այդ, դաշնային կառավարությունը հաստատել է 2018թ. լրատվամիջոցներում տարածված տեղեկությունն այն մասին, որ Գերմանիայում ՀՀ դեսպանը ներգրավված է եղել հայկական մաֆիայի գործով հետաքննությունում: Դեսպանն այս գործով որպես կասկածյալ չի անցնում. նա սեփական կամքով 2017թ. ներքին գործերի նախարարություն է ներկայացել, որպեսզի սկանդալային բացահայտման ֆոնին պաշտպանի իր անունը»:
