Վիկինգների «պոզերի» առեղծվածը

Վիկինգները կրում էին պոզերով սաղավարտներ:
Իրականում այդպես չէ:
Վիկինգները վաղ միջնադարյան սկանդինավյան ծովագնացներ էին (8–ից 11–րդ դարեր) և ծովային արշավներ էին կատարում դեպի Եվրոպա, Ասիա և անգամ Աֆրիկա: Նրանք հիմնականում տոհմային կարգերի քայքայման փուլում գտնվող ցեղեր էին և ապրում էին ներկայիս Շվեդիայի, Դանիայի և Նորվեգիայի տարածքներում: Նրանց ծովային արշավները թալանի նպատակով էին, որին ստիպում էին դիմել գերբնակեցումը հայրենիքում և սովը: Վիկինգները հայտնի են նաև Նորմաններ, Վարյագներ անուններով:
Վիկինգների գյուղացիական հագուստը բրդյա երկար վերնաշապիկ էր, կարճ պարկանման տաբատով, գլխներին կրում էին բրդյա կամ մորթե գլխարկներ: Իհարկե, վիկինգները արշավանքների ժամանակ կրում էին նաև զրահ: Հագնում էին կարճ տունիկա, լայն տաբատ և անձրևանոց՝ աջ ուսին ամրացված, ոտքերին՝ կաշվից սանդալներ: Այս ամբողջ հագուստը նպատակ ուներ հեշտացնել զինվորի գործը սուրը հանելիս: Կրում էին նաև օղազրահ, բայց դա իրեն կարող էր թույլ տալ ոչ ամեն վիկինգ, դա շատ թանկ էր: Սովորական վիկինգը կրում էր զրահ՝ բաղկացած կաշվից և նրան փակցված պողպատե թերթերից: Գլխին նրանք կրում էին սաղավարտ՝ առանց պոզերի, երբեմն՝ կլորացված գագաթով և աչքերի ու քթի պաշտպանիչ վահանակով, կամ էլ՝ սրածայր գագաթով: Հասարակ զինվորներից շատերն ընդհանրապես կրում էին ոչ մետաղական, այլ կաշվե սաղավարտ:
Իսկ որտեղի՞ց է գալիս համոզմունքը, որ նրանք կրել են պոզավոր սաղավարտներ: Ներկայումս այն համոզմունքը կա, որ «պոզավոր» վիկինգների լեգենդը ստեղծել է եկեղեցին: Վիկինգները երկար ժամանակ քրիստոնյա չէին դառնում՝ նրանք հեթանոս էին, քրիստոնյաները նրանց չէին սիրում և համարում էին սատանայի ծնունդ (սատանան սովորաբար ներկայացվում է պոզերով և պոչով): Այդ գաղափարախոսությամբ հիմնավորված սուտը հետագայում հաստատվեց հասարակական գիտակցության մեջ: Պետք է հաշվի առնել նաև այն, որ վիկինգները գիր չունեին, և նրանց մասին ամեն ինչ գրել են կաթոլիկ հոգևորականները: Հնէաբանները ներկայումս գտել են վիկինգների մի շարք գերեզմաններ, որտեղ մնացած իրերի հետ նաև պոզեր կան: Համարվում է, որ գուցե մարդկանց հետ նաև կենդանիների են թաղել: Սովորաբար վիկինգները հանգուցյալի հետ զենք և զրահ չէին թաղում, այլ ժառանգում էին հաջորդին:
Հետագայում 19–րդ դարի շվեդական ռոմանտիզմը սկսեց հետաքրքրություն ցուցաբերել վիկինգների նկատմամբ: Նրանց սկսեցին ներկայացնել որպես ազատասեր արկածներ փնտրողներ: Վիկինգները պետք եկան նաև Հիտլերին՝ որպես արիական ազգ: Անգամ ստեղծվեց սկանդինավյան ազգություններից կազմված ԷսԷս–ի 5–րդ տանկային դիվիզիան՝ «Վիկինգ» անունով: Ներկայումս այն, որ վիկինգները պոզերով էին, «վերահաստատել» է կինեմատոգրաֆիան՝ իր բազմաթիվ ֆիլմերով:
Իսկ գուցե ամեն ինչ ճիշտ է: Վիկինգներն իրենց կանանց արշավանքների ժամանակ շատ երկար ժամանակով տանն էին թողնում, և նրանց մոտ աստիճանաբար, ըստ երևույթին, պոզեր էին աճում:
