Վատիկանը տեղեկացել է 2015 թվականին Արգենտինայում հոգևորականի անվայել վարքի մասին

Վատիկանը տեղեկացել էր 2015 և 2017 թվականներին, որ Արգենտինայում եպիսկոպոսը, որը մոտ էր Ֆրանցիսկ պապին, մերկ սերֆիներ էր արել, ինչպես նաև անվայել վարք էր դրսևորել և ոտնձգություններ թույլ տվել սեմինարիստների նկատմամբ: Այդ մասին Associated Press-ին հայտնել էր նրա նախկին առաջնորդական փոխանորդը՝ այդկերպ հակասելով Վատիկանի հայտարարություններին մի քանի ամիս առաջ, երբ բարձրաձայնվել էին սեռական բռնության մասին մեղադրանքները:
Հռոմի Պապը հաստատել էր արքեպիսկոպոս Գուստավո Զանչետիի հրաժարականը 2017 թվականի օգոստոսին, երբ հյուսիսային Արգենտինայի թեմում բողոքել էին նրա ղեկավարման ավտորիտար ոճի դեմ, իսկ նախկին առաջնորդական փոխանորդը, ճեմարանի ռեկտորն ու ևս մեկ առաջնորդ հաղորդել էին Վատիկանին իշխանության չարաշահումների անվայել վարքագծի և սեռական ոտնձգությունների մասին, հայտնում է նախկին առաջնորդական փոխանորդ Հուան Հոսե Մանսանոն:
Զանչետիից հետո գլխավոր առաջնորդական փոխանորդ Մանսանոն, որը ներկայումս քահանա է, ասել է, որ նա այն թեմական պաշտոնյաներից մեկն էր, ովքեր ահազանգել էին իրենց ղեկավարի մասին 2015 թվականին և ուղարկել նրա սելֆիները Վատիկան:
«Դա տագնապի նշան էր, որը մենք ուղարկել էինք Սուրբ Աթոռին մի քանի բարեգութ եպիսկոպոսների միջոցով: Նվիրակներն ուղղակիորեն չէին չմիջամտել, սակայն Սուրբ Հայրը կանչել էր Զանչետիին, և վերջինս արդարացել էր՝ ասելով, որ իր բջջային հեռախոսը կոտրել են»,-նշել է նա:
Ավելի վաղ այդ ամսվա ընթացքում Վատիկանը հաստատել էր, որ նոր եպիսկոպոսը սկսել էր նախնական կանոնական հետաքննություն Զանչետիի նկատմամբ սեռական բռնության մեղադրանքով: Սակայն Վատիկանի ներկայացուցիչ Ալեսանդրո Գիզոտին հունվարի 3-ին իր հայտարարության մեջ ընդգծել էր, որ չարաշահումների մասին մեղադրանքներն ի հայտ են եկել 2018 թվականի վերջին՝ Զանչետիի հրաժարականից հետո:
