Հայ Ազգային Կոնգրեը շնորհավորել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին՝ վարչապետ ընտրվելու կապակցությամբ։ Այդ առիթով  ՀԱԿ-ը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որը ներկայացնում ենք ստորև․

«Հայ Ազգային Կոնգրեսը շնորհավորում է ԻՄ ՔԱՅԼԸ դաշինքին և նրա ղեկավար Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին՝ դեկտեմբերի 9-ին կայացած Ազգային ժողովի արտահերթ ընտրություններում տարած համոզիչ հաղթանակի կապակցությամբ։ Առավել նշանակալի է, որ քոչարյանա-սերժական բռնապետության վերջնական տապալումը տեղի ունեցավ լիովին ազատ և դեմոկրատական ընտրությունների միջոցով։ Ընտրություններում ժողովրդի ազատ կամարտահայտությամբ պսակված Թավշյա հեղափոխության գլխավոր նվաճումն անկասկած այն է, որ Հայաստանի ժողովուրդը կրկին դարձել է քաղաքական գործընթացների առանցքային դերակատարը։

Մեր հասարակության քաղաքացիական հասունության վկայությունն էր նաև ապրիլյան հեղափոխությունից մինչև ընտրություններ ընկած ժամանակաշրջանը, որն անցավ անցնցում՝ պահպանելով երկրի ներքին կայունությունն ու հասարակական համերաշխությունը։ Ամեն ինչ դեռ նոր է սկսվում։ Ազատ եւ արդար ընտրությունների անցկացումն անհրաժեշտ, բայց ոչ բավարար պայման է երկրի ժողովրդավարացման եւ զարգացման համար։

Նոր իշխանությունները կանգնած են լուրջ մարտահրավերների առաջ․ ապահովել Հայաստանի եւ Արցախի անվտանգությունը, արմատախիլ անել կոռուպցիան եւ հաստատել արդարադատություն, տնտեսությունը դնել զարգացման ուղու վրա, հզորացնել քաղաքացիական հասարակության ինստիտուտները, ընդունել նոր հարկային եւ ընտրական օրենսդրություն։ Հայ Ազգային Կոնգրեսն իրենից կախված ամեն ինչ կանի, որպեսզի ապահովվի ժողովրդավարական հեղափոխության նպատակների իրականացումը և նշված մարտահրավերների հաղթահարումը»։
