ԱՄՆ-ը զորքեր է ուղարկել Կոնգո ընտրությունների արդյունքների նախօրեին լարվածության պատճառով

Կոնգոյում ուշացած ընտրությունների արդյունքների հայտարարման նախօրեին ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ասել է, որ «զինվորականները տարածաշրջան են ուղարկվել, քանի որ կարող են «կատաղի ցույցեր» տեղի ունենալ», տեղեկացնում է Ասոշիեյթիդ Պրեսը։

Միեւնույն ժամանակ, Կոնգոյի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցին նախազգուշացրել է «ապստամբության» հավանականության մասին, եթե ընտրությունների արդյունքները կեղծված լինեն։

Կոնգոյում տեղի են ունենում նախագահական ընտրություններ, որոնք պետք է դառնային առաջին դեմոկրատական, խաղաղ ընտրությունները Բելգիայից 1960թ. անկախության հռչակումից հետո։ Սակայն դիտորդները հայտարարում են խախտումների մասին։ Ներկայում երկրի նախագահն է Ժոզեֆ Կաբիլան։

Ընտրությունների առաջին արդյունքները կհայտարարվեն կիրակի, եւ ԱՄՆ-ը, ինչպես Աֆրիկյան միությունը, կոչ է անում Կոնգոյին հնչեցնել ժողովրդի իրական կամքն արտահայտող արդյունքները։

Միեւնույն ժամանակ, Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցին, որի ազդեցությունը բավական ուժեղ է Կոնգոյում, զարմացրել է բոլորին՝ հայտարարելով, որ իր բոլոր 40 հազար դիտորդները արդեն որոշել են հաղթողին։ Սակայն եկեղեցին հրաժարվել է տալ հաղթող թեկնածուի անունը։

Ընտրական հանձնաժողովը պատասխանել է երկրի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցուն, որ այդ հայտարարությունը կարող է ապստամբություն հրահրել, իսկ Կոնգոյի կառավարող կուսակցությունը, որը պաշտպանում է գործող նախագահի առաջադրած թեկնածու Էմանուել Ռամազանիին, եկեղեցու պահվածքը անվանել է «անպատասխանատու եւ անարխիստական»։
