Թուրքիայի իշխող կուսակցության հովանավորչությամբ երկրում շարունակվում է ոտնահարվել խոսքի և ԶԼՄ-ների ազատության իրավունքը: Այս անգամ Թուրքիայի ռադիոյի և հեռուստատեսության բարձրագույն խորհուրդը որոշում է կայացրել տուգանել CNN Turk հեռուստաալիքին:

Խորհրդի որոշման պատճառը հատնի թուրք լրագրող Ահմեթ Հաքանի «Անկողմնակալ շրջան» հաղորդումն է, որի հերթական թողարկման հյուրը Դիարբեքիրի փաստաբանների ընկերության ղեկավար Թահիր Էլչինն է եղել: Նա եթերով հայտարարել է, թե Քրդական բանվորական կուսակցությունը (ՔԲԿ) ահաբեկչական կազմակերպություն չէ: Խորհուրդը վճռել է տուգանել CNN Turk-ին 700 հազար թուրքական լիրայով (ավելի քան 240 հազար ԱՄՆ դոլար):
Հաղորդման հեղինակ Ահմեդ Հաքանը նման որոշումը շատ սխալ է անվանել: «Ստուդիայում ուղիղ եթերի ժամանակ չենք կարող նախապես իմանալ, թե հյուրն ինչ կասի: Ամեն բան կարող է ասել: Կարևորը նրան հակաճառելը և հակառակ տեսակետներն էլ բարձրաձայնելն է, ինչը թե´ ես, թե´ իմ հաղորդման հյուրերը մշտապես արել ենք: Հետևաբար շատ սխալ եմ համարում նման որոշումը»,- ասել է նա:
Հաղորդումից հետո Թահիր Էլչինը ՔԲԿ մասին արած հայտարարությունների պատճառով ձերբակալվել էր, սակայն կարճ ժամանակ հետո արդեն ազատ էր արձակվել:
