Ծնվել է 1966թ. դեկտեմբերի 4-ին Հադրութի շրջանի Խծաբերդ գյուղում:

1973-1984թթ.. սովորել է Հադրութի Մ.Մանվելյանի անվան միջնակարգ դպրոցում:

1984թ. ընդունվել է Երևանի ժողտնտեսության ինստիտուտի ֆինանսահաշվառման ֆակուլտետը, որի 1-ին կուրսն ավարտելուց հետո 1985-1987թթ.. ծառայել է խորհրդային բանակում:

1990թ. ավարտել է վերոհիշյալ ուսումնական հաստատությունը՝ ստանալով տնտեսագետի որակավորում:

1990-1992թթ.. աշխատել է Հադրութի շրջանի խնայբանկում՝ որպես վարկավորման հրահանգիչ, գլխավոր հաշվապահ, այնուհետև նույն խնայբանկի կառավարիչ:

1991թ.-ից ակտիվորեն ներգրավվել է Հադրութի կամավորական ինքնապաշտպանական ուժերին, իսկ 1992 թ. աշնանը, որպես շարքային, զինվորագրվել նոր-նոր կազմավորված   Հադրութի պաշտպանական շրջանին: Այնուհետև նույն զորամասում զբաղեցրել է դասակի, ապա՝ մարտկոցի հրամանատարի, հրետանու շտաբի պետի, հրետանու պետի, իսկ 1996-98թթ. պաշտպանական շրջանի շտաբի պետ-հրամանատարի տեղակալ պաշտոնները:

1998թ. օգոստոսին ընդունվել է ՌԴ ԶՈւ համազորային ակադեմիան և այն ավարտել գերազանցության դիպլոմով::

2001թ. նշանակվել է զորամասի շտաբի պետ-հրամանատարի տեղակալ:

2003թ. դեկտեմբերին նշանակվել է զորամասի հրամանատար:

2006թ. օգոստոսին նշանակվել է  կորպուսի շտաբի պետ-հրամանատարի տեղակալ:

2010-2011թթ..սովորել է ՌԴ ԶՈւ Գլխավոր շտաբի ակադեմիայում՝ այն ավարտելով ոսկե մեդալով:

2011թ. օգոստոսից մինչև 2015թ. նոյեմբեր զբաղեցրել է ՀՀ ԶՈւ ինժեներական զորքերի պետ-վարչության պետի պաշտոնը:

2014թ. սեպտեմբերի 3-ին շնորհվել է գեներալ-մայորի զինվորական կոչում:

2015թ. նոյեմբերին նշանակվել է  բանակային կորպուսի հրամանատար:

2017թ. սեպտեմբերի 7-ին նշանակվել է ՊԲ հրամանատարի 1-ին տեղակալ-շտաբի պետ:

2018թ. դեկտեմբերին 14-ին ԱՀ նախագահի հրամանագրով նշանակվել է ԱՀ ՊՆ, ՊԲ հրամանատար:

Պարգևատրվել է <<Մարտական խաչ 2-րդ աստիճանի>> շքանշանով, <<Արիություն>>, <<Մարտական ծառայություն>>, <<Հայրենիքին մատուցած ծառայությունների համար երկրորդ աստիճանի>>,   <<Գարեգին Նժդեհ>>, <<Անդրանիկ Օզանյան>>, <<Մարշալ Բաղրամյան>>, <<Դրաստամատ Կանայան>>,  <<Վազգեն Սարգսյան >>, <<Համագործակցության ամրապնդման համար>>, <<Անբասիր ծառայություն>> 1-ին, 2-րդ, 3-րդ և 4-րդ աստիճանի և այլ պետական ու գերատեսչական մեդալներով:
