Երևանի քաղաքապետ Հայկ Մարությանի հավաստմամբ՝ քաղաքապետարանը դադարեցրել է կենդանիների սպանդի ամոթալի գործելաոճը: Կենդանիների կյանքն ու պայքարն արտացոլող լուսանկարների Հայաստանում առաջին ցուցահանդեսի բացման արարողության բացմանը Մարությանն ընդգծեց, որ Երևան համայնքը, ի դեմս մեր վարչակազմի, հանձնառու է լուծել կենդանիների և մարդկանց անվտանգ մարդկանց շփման խնդիրը:

«Մենք ստանում ենք հարյուրավոր զանգեր մեր քաղաքի բնակիչներից, որոնք բողոքում են անտուն կենդանիների ագրեսիայից ևպահանջում շուտափույթ լուծում տալ այս խնդրին: Ցավով և վրդովմունքով պետք է  նշեմ, որ նախկինում մեր քաղաքում մարդկանց անվտանգության, հարմարավետության համար ընտրվել էր կենդանիների ոչնչացման մեթոդ: Անգամ մի կողմ թողնելով այս ոլորտում ֆինանսական և այլ կարգի չարաշահումները՝ մենք  այսօր փաստում ենք, որ  նախկինում այս պրակտիկան անմարդկային էր, ժամանակավրեպ և անարդյունավետ:  Եվ ինձ համար պատիվ է փաստելու, որ Երևանը առաջին անգամ որդեգրում է կենդանիների բարեկեցության ռազմավարությունը՝ ոլորտի որակավորված մասնագետների և կազմակերպությունների համագործակցությամբ: Այս համատեքստում կարևորում եմ Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի և «Փրո Փոուզ» կազմակերպության միջև  արդյունավետ  համագործակցության հաստատումը: Ես պաշտոնապես հայտարարում եմ՝ մենք արդեն դադարեցրել ենք կենդանիների սպանդի ամոթալի պրակտիկան: Մենք պայքարելու ենք հանուն մարդկանց և կենդանիների նորմալ համակեցության, որպեսզի մեր քաղաքում իրենց հարմարավետ  և անվտանգ զգան, և՛ կենդանիները, և՛ մարդիկ»,- ընդգծեց Մարությանը:

Երևանի քաղաքապետը «Փրո Փոուզ» կենդանիների բարեկեցության բրիտանական բարեգործական կազմակերպության հետ ստորագրեց համագործակցության հուշագիր։
