Ինչպես փոխանցում է INTERFAX.RU-ն՝ հղում անելով թուրքական աղբյուրին, ընթրիքի ժամանակ թուրք առաջնորդը զրույց է ունեցել ամերիկացի գործընկերոջ՝ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ: Ըստ թուրքական աղբյուրի՝ համատեղ ընթրիքի ժամանակ Թուրքիայի նախագահը զրուցել է կողքին նստած ԱՄՆ նախագահի հետ:
Սպիտակ տան մամլո քարտուղար Սառա Սանդերսն իր հերթին բրիտանական Daily Mail պարբերականին հայտնել է, որ առաջնորդները քննարկել են սաուդացի ընդդիմադիր լրագրող Ջամալ Խաշոգջիի սպանությունը: «Կարող եմ հաստատել, որ նրանք նստած էին կողք կողքի և քննարկել են Խաշոգջիի շուրջ ստեղծված և շարունակվող ողբերգական իրավիճակը», -ասել է Սպիտակ տան ներկայացուցիչը:
Հիշեցնենք, որ նախօրեին Էրդողանը հայտարարել էր, որ թուրքական կողմը ԱՄՆ-ին, Սաուդյան Արաբիային և մի քանի այլ երկրի փոխանցել է լրագրողի սպանությանն առնչվող ձայնագրությունները:
