ԱՄՆ եւ Թուրքիայի նախագահներ Դոնալդ Թրամփը եւ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը քննարկել են սաուդցի լրագրող Ջամալ Խաշոգջիի սպանության վերաբերյալ հետաքննությունը, հաղորդում է «Կոմերսանտը»՝ հղում անելով Reuters-ին եւ վկայակոչելով Սպիտակ տան  ներկայացուցչին:

Ինչպես գործակալությանը հաղորդել է Սպիտակ տան ներկայացուցիչը, զրույցը տեղի է ունեցել Փարիզում պետությունների ղեկավարների ճաշի ժամանակ:

Ճաշի ժամանակ Թրամփի կողքին նստած են եղել նաեւ Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնն ու Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը: Թե ինչի մասին են կոնկրետ խոսել ԱՄՆ-ի եւ Թուրքիայի նախագահները,  չի հաղորդվում:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Ջամալ Խաշոգջին հոկտեմբերի 2-ին անհետացել է Ստամբուլում Սաուդյան Արաբիայի հյուպատոսությունում: Ռիադը ավելի ուշ հայտարարել էր, որ լրագրողը մահացել է հյուպատոսարանի անձնակազմի հետ վեճի արդյունքում: Ավելի ուշ երկրի գլխավոր դատախազը խոստովանել էր, որ սպանությունը կանխամտածված էր:

Էրդողանը Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավոր դատախազին մեղադրում է հետաքննությանը խոչընդոտելու մեջ: Թուրքիայի դատախազությունը կարծում է, որ Խաշոգջիին խեղդել են, հետո անդամատել: Լրագրողի մարմինը դեռեւս չի հայտնաբերվել: Ստամբուլում Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավոր հյուպատոսի նստավայրում խուզարկության ընթացքում հայտնաբերվել են ֆլուորական թթվի եւ այլ քիմիական նյութերի հետքեր:

ԱՄՆ Սենատի միջազգային գործերի հանձնաժողովը Դոնալդ Թրամփից կոշտ գործողություններ է պահանջում ի պատասխան սաուդցի լրագրողի սպանությանը: Սենատորները, մասնավորապես, սաուդցիներին ամերիկյան զենքի վաճառքը արգելելու հարց են բարձրացրել:
