Հանրապետության նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանի նոյեմբերի 5-ի հրամանագրով հայ մշակույթի բնագավառում ունեցած ծանրակշիռ վաստակի համար Երվանդ Մանարյանին շնորհվել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ժողովրդական արտիստի պատվավոր կոչում:

Նախագահ Սարգսյանն նոյեմբերի 9-ին այցելել է սիրված դերասանին ու ռեժիսորին և հանձնել Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման կրծքանշանը և շնորհագիրը: 

«Ես մեծ, հաճելի պարտականություն ունեմ, մի բան, որը երևի թե պետք է անեին ինձնից 30-40 տարի առաջ: Կարծում եմ՝ սա մեր ժողովրդի կողմից Ձեր երկար տարիների աշխատանքի ամենաբարձր գնահատականն է: Այս սերը միշտ է եղել, Դուք միշտ եղել եք ժողովրդական արտիստ: Ժողովրդականը հրամանով չի լինում, լինում է ժողովրդի միջից»,-ասել է նախագահ Սարգսյանը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով բարձր կոչման ու պարգևի համար՝ Երվանդ Մանարյանն ասել է, որ այն իր ողջ անցած կյանքի գնահատականն է: 

«Սա Ձեր ապրած կյանքի գնահատականն է»,-արձագանքել է Հանրապետության նախագահը:

Նախագահ Սարգսյանը պարզ ու մտերմիկ զրույց է ունեցել մեծանուն արտիստի հետ, որին հիշում է դեռ իր մանկության տարիներից, իր ծնողների հետ համատեղ ընկերական և բարեկամական հավաքներից: Արմեն Սարգսյանն ասել է, որ այդ հեռավոր տարիների մասին պատմող լուսանկարները պահպանվում են իր ընտանեկան ալբոմներում: «

Լուսանկարներից բացի մնում են նաև հիշողությունները»,- ավելացրել է նախագահ Սարգսյանը և հիշել մանուկ հասակում Երվանդ Մանարյանի հետ կապված հետաքրքիր դեպքեր:

Սիրված արտիստն ու նախագահ Սարգսյանը ջերմ և անկեղծ մթնոլորտում զրուցել են արվեստի, մշակույթի մասին, կիսվել իրենց տպավորություններով ու հիշողություններով:
