«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Նախօրեին Ազգային ժողովում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հանդես եկավ բավական ծավալուն ելույթով, որն, ինչպես ինքը նշեց, անդրադարձ է տնտեսական խնդիրներին ու իրավիճակին, քանի որ ԱԺ–ում նախորդ շաբաթ ունեցած ելույթի ժամանակը չէր բավականացրել տնտեսական թեմաների մասին խոսելու համար: Հատկանշական է, որ վերջին շրջանում տնտեսությունը, տնտեսական, գործարար բնույթի հանդիպումները ու այցելությունները հաճախակի են դարձել Փաշինյանի օրակարգում: Հեղափոխությանը հաջորդած ամիսներին հենց քաղաքական օրակարգն էր առաջնահերթ Փաշինյանի համար, հիմա կարծես թե նախանշվում է տնտեսական օրակարգի կարևորումը ևս:

Բնականաբար, տրամաբանական է, որ ցանկացած վարչապետ ու երկրի ղեկավար տնտեսական խնդիրները պետք է պահի իր ուշադրության կենտրոնում: Սակայն Փաշինյանը, մեծ հաշվով, սովորական վարչապետ չէ, նա հեղափոխությամբ իշխանության եկած վարչապետ է, ու նրա խնդիրներն էլ, այդ թվում՝ տնտեսության դեպքում, հեղափոխական են: Ավելին, սոցիալ–տնտեսական իրավիճակն, ըստ էության, հեղափոխությանը հասարակության լայն զանգվածների մասնակցության հիմնական դրդապատճառն էր, ու հիմնական սպասելիքները հեղափոխությունից ու հեղափոխական իշխանությունից հենց սոցիալ–տնտեսական են:

Մեծ հաշվով, ցանկացած քաղաքական համակարգ, Ընտրական օրենսգիրք, կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքար ընդամենը գործիքներ են: Իսկ հիմնական նպատակը բարեկեցիկ երկիր ունենալն է: Հատկապես նախորդ իշխանությունների տարիներին նկատվող տնտեսական լճացումն ու անկման ցուցանիշները ստեղծել են բարեկեցության պահանջարկ, ու հեղափոխությունը հենց այդ պահանջարկի դրսևորման արդյունք է: Այս իմաստով Փաշինյանի՝ տնտեսական ոլորտի վրա սևեռումը, որ նկատելի է վերջին շրջանում, բավական տրամաբանական և օրինաչափ է: Ի վերջո, անվերջ հնարավոր չէ հակահեղափոխության ու սևերի դեմ պայքարով հանրային վստահության մանդատը պահել, պետք են կոնկրետ քայլեր: Ըստ այդմ, անկախ Փաշինյանի երեկվա ելույթից ու տնտեսական քաղաքականության մասին մոտեցումներից, ողջունելի է, որ ընտրություններից առաջ, հուսանք՝ նաև ընտրություններից հետո, տնտեսական փոփոխությունները նրա օրակարգում սկսել են առաջնային տեղ գրավել:
