«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Այն, ինչ հիմա տեղի է ունենում Հայաստանի ներքաղաքական կյանքի կուլուարներում, երեք բառով կարելի է անվանել՝ «մուտիլովկա», «կուտ տալ ու կուտ ուտել» և, եթե շատ հայերեն արտահայտվենք՝ սադրանք: Իհարկե, տարբեր են այս հասկացությունների տակ թաքնված բովանդակությունները՝ մի դեպքում դա կարող է լինել հանրային ճնշումը, մեկ այլ դեպքում՝ պաշտոնական դիրքը: Բայց ակնհայտ է, որ հենց այս երեք հասկացությունների ու դրանից բխող լեզվամտածողության շրջանակներում են այժմ հարաբերվում քաղաքական սուբյեկտները:

Ճգնաժամային իրավիճակը քաղաքական կյանքում էլ ավելի է իջեցրել առանց այդ էլ շրիշակից ցածր գտնվող քաղաքական դիսկուրսի մակարդակը: Նախկինում էլ քաղաքական դաշտը աչքի չէր ընկնում ռացիոնալությամբ, բայց հիմա, երբ, ըստ էության, տեղի է ունենում հին քաղաքական համակարգի ապամոնտաժում և նոր համակարգի սաղմնավորում, ակնհայտ է դառնում գործիքների և լեզվի այն նախընտրությունը, որն այժմ կա քաղաքական կյանքում:

Իհարկե, քաղաքականության մեջ փլավ չեն բաժանում, և քաղաքականությունն ինքնին, հատկապես հեղափոխական ժամանակներում, թույլ բնավորություն ունեցողների համար չէ: Բայց մյուս կողմից հիմա տեսնում ենք, որ տեղի է ունենում հենց բնավորությունների, նյարդերի, հաճախ ինքնանպատակ համառության առճակատում: Մի բան է, երբ ամուր նյարդերը սեփական օրակարգը առաջ տանելուն միտված գործիք է, մեկ այլ բան, երբ օրակարգն ու ընդհանրապես քաղաքական պայքարը հիմնվում է նյարդերի վրա: Իսկ նյարդերի առաջնայնությունն այժմ ակնհայտ է, քանի որ ընթանում է փակ, մանրախնդիր, դավադրություններով ու անվստահությամբ հագեցած պայքար: 

Ներքաղաքական ինտրիգների այսպիսի քանակությունը հետևանքն է քաղաքական կյանքում գաղափարական և ծրագրային հակադրությունների բացակայության: Կողմերն, ըստ այդմ, թե՛ առաջ, թե՛ հիմա պայքարում են՝ վկայակոչելով ոչ թե իրենց տարբերությունները այս կամ այն հարցերի շուրջ, այլ պայքարում են միմյանց սպառնալով, ականներ դնելով, սադրելով, բլեֆ անելով: Ակնհայտ է, որ գործում են ոչ թե քաղաքականության, այլ ավելի շուտ թղթախաղային կանոններ, տարբերությամբ, որ քաղաքական խաղի խաղադրույքն ավելի մեծ է և բուն խաղացողներից բացի ընդգրկում է նաև պետությանն ու հասարակությունը:
