Գերմանիայի արեւելքի ու արեւմուտքի միավորման գործընթացը մինչ այժմ ավարտված չԷ եւ առաջվա պես իրենից մարտահրավեր Է ներկայացնում երկրի քաղաքացիների համար: Այս կարծիքը ԳՖՀ-ի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը հայտնել Է երկրի միավորման՝ հոկտեմբերի 3-ին նշվող 28-րդ տարեդարձի կապակցությամբ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

1990 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 3-ին Գերմանիայի Դեմոկրատական Հանրապետության 15 օկրուգներ մտել են ԳԴՀ-ի կազմի մեջ՝ ձեւավորելով հինգ՝ Բրանդենբուրգի, Մեկլենբուրգ-Առաջադիր Պոմերանիայի, Սաքսոնիայի, Սաքսոնիա-Անհալտի եւ Թյուրինգիայի նոր դաշնային երկրամասերը: Գերմանական միասնության օրը երկրի ազգային տոնն Է եւ հանգստյան օր:

«28 տարի անց մենք գիտենք, որ այն, ինչը մենք անվանում ենք գերմանական միասնություն, գործընթաց Է՝ երկար ճանապարհով»,-արձանագրել Է Մերկելը: Նրա խոսքով՝ քաղաքական գործիչներին եւ, ամենից առաջ, քաղաքացիներին, կարեւոր Է՝ «լսել մեկմեկու, ընդառաջել միմյանց, դրանում չթուլացնել իրենց ջանքերը»: «Գերմանիայի միավորումն ավարտված չԷ»,-ընդգծել Է կանցլերը: «Անձամբ ես միշտ Էլ փոթորկալի հույզերով եմ հիշում Գերմանիայի միասնության օրը»,-նշել Է նա:

Այս տարի երկրի միասնության տարեդարձի առթիվ գլխավոր միջոցառումներն անցկացվում են Բեռլինում: Նախագահ Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը, Մերկելը, ԳԴՀ-ի իշխանության մյուս մարմինների ներկայացուցիչները հոկտեմբերի 3-ին իրենց անունները զետեղել են Քաղաքի ոսկե գրքում, Բեռլինի տաճարում կայացել Է Էկումենիկ արարողություն: Այն շրջանում, որտեղ տեղավորված են Ռայխստագի պատմական շենքը եւ Բրանդենբուրգյան դարպասները, անցկացվում Է քաղաքացիական տոն: Այստեղ տեղադրվել են վրաններ, որտեղ մայրաքաղաքի բնակիչները եւ հյուրերը կարող են վայելել Գերմանիայի տարբեր տարածաշրջանների համեղ կերակուրները: Իշխանություններն ակնկալում են, որ մինչեւ հոկտեմբերի 3-ի օրվա ավարտը հանդիսություններին կայցելի շուրջ 1 մլն մարդ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
