«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Երեկ համացանցում ակտիվ քննարկվում էր Հենրիխ Մխիթարյանին դիվանագիտական անձնագրից զրկելու մասին տեղեկությունը: Թե՛ Մխիթարյանի, թե՛ այլ անձանց դեպքում դիվանագիտական անձնագրերից զրկելու հարցերը կարգավորվում են դիվանագիտության մասին նոր օրենսդրական փոփոխություններով, որոնք պարզապես ուժի մեջ են մտել հուլիսի 31–ից, չնայած ընդունվել էին ավելի վաղ:

Սակայն մի կողմ թողնենք խնդրի, այսպես ասած, իրավական և տեխնիկական կողմը: Առավել հետաքրքիր է հետևել կոնկրետ Մխիթարյանի դեպքի առնչությամբ հասարակության արձագանքին, հատկապես ժամանակների փոփոխության կոնտեքստում: Պատկերացնենք, թե հայ հասարակությունը Հայաստանում և Հայաստանից դուրս ինչպիսի ֆեյսբուքյան տեղատարափ կտեղար, եթե վերջինս դիվանագիտական անձնագրից զրկվեր, ինչպես մոդայիկ է այսօր ասել, «Սերժի վախտ»: Հիմա այդ արձագանքը բոլորովին այլ է, շատերը անձնագրից զրկելու որոշումը կապում են երկրի նոր իշխանությունների հետ և աջակցում են այդ որոշմանը: 

Դեռևս մի քանի ամիս առաջ Մխիթարյանը հերոս էր, ինչպես առաջին նախագահն էր ասում՝ հայ ժողովրդի միակ ուրախությունը: Հիմա հայ ժողովուրդը հասկանալի պատճառներով այլ հերոսի է երկրպագում: Եվ խնդիրն այստեղ ոչ թե հերոսներին իրար հակադրելն է, այլ ընդհանրապես՝ հայ ժողովրդի՝ անդադար հերոսներ ունենալու, միաժամանակ հընթացս հներին հերոսների ցանկից դուրս շպրտելու և նորերին գտնելու փափագը: Կայացած հասարակությունները, պետություն ունեցող հասարակությունները ամուր են իրենց պետական ինստիտուտներով, տնտեսությամբ, անվտանգության համակարգով, բազմաթիվ այլ չափանիշներով, բայց ոչ հերոսներով: Հերոսներ, իհարկե, պետք են և հերոսներ ունեն բոլորը: Բայց հերոսներն ունեն իրենց ժամանակը, և այդ ժամանակը սովորաբար ոչ թե խաղաղ ժամանակն է, այլ տարերքների, պատերազմների, արհավիրքների: Հայ ժողովուրդը, ցավոք, հերոսների կարիք է զգում նույնիսկ խաղաղ ժամանակներում: Միաժամանակ որևէ կերպ իրեն չի սահմանափակում ըստ իրավիճակի անարգել հին հերոսներին ու երկրպագել նորերին: Այս տրամաբանությունը շահարկողները պետք է հասկանան, որ հերոսների հարցում մեր ժողովրդի ճաշակը փոփոխական է և մի օր գուցե իրենք էլ հայտնվեն մոռացված հերոսների ցանկում:
