«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Հետևելով Երևանի ավագանու ընտրությունների քարոզարշավին` մեկ–երկու բացառություններով կարող ենք արձանագրել, որ այն, մեղմ ասած, զուրկ է ծրագրային պայքարի վերածվելու սկզբնական պոտենցիալից և, հին ու բարի ավանդույթի համաձայն, տեղափոխվել է բացառապես հաշիվ մաքրելու, կաքարոզչության դաշտ: 

Քարոզարշավի նման ռիթմը մեծամասամբ թելադրվում է նախ՝ իշխանության կողմից, որի ներկայացուցիչները Փաշինյանի գլխավորությամբ սահմանել են այնպիսի նշաձող, որից հետո դժվար է ակնկալել ծրագրային ու կառուցողական մրցակցություն: Դաշտը սև–սպիտակի, հեղափոխականի և հակահեղափոխականի բաժանելով՝ ստեղծվել է այն մթնոլորտը, որի ականատեսն ենք այսօր: Իշխանության ներկայացուցիչները իրենց հռչակած գունային գամմայում բնականաբար դիրքավորվել են սպիտակ և պոտենցիալ սևերի գործողություններին ուղղակիորեն կամ անուղղակիորեն արձագանքում են արդեն ֆոլկլ յորային դարձած «մարդ ա վատացե՞լ» հարցադրմամբ: «Մարդ ա վատացե՞լ». հենց այսպես կարելի է մեկ ձևակերպմամբ բնութագրել քարոզարշավի բովանդակությունն ու տրամաբանությունը:

Քարոզարշավի ընթացքին հետևելով՝ կարող ենք արձանագրել, որ իսկապես մարդ ա վատացել: Ավելի շուտ ոչ թե մարդ, այլ մարդիկ են վատացել, որովհետև հեղափոխության բերած նոր իրավիճակով ենթադրվող հեռանկարը, որտեղ քաղաքական ուժերը պետք է մրցեին ծրագրերով, փորձեին ամեն մեկն իր էլեկտորատն ուրվագծելով ու այդ էլեկտորատի խնդիրները առաջ տանելով՝ զբաղեցնել քաղաքական կոնկրետ նշաձողեր, այլևս հայտնվել է թանձր մշուշի մեջ: Արդյունքում հասարակության տարաբևեռ էությունը, որը հարստություն է ու իդեալական մեկնարկային իրավիճակ բազմազան քաղաքական դաշտ ունենալու համար, տարաբևեռության պոտենցիալը վերածել է պառակտման անդառնալի պրոցեսի՝ մարդ ա վատացել հայտնի ձևակերպման հնչյունների ներքո:

Ցավոք, այո, մարդ ա վատացել: Հայ մարդը վատացել է նոր Հայաստանում ընթացող առաջին ընտրությունների քարոզարշավի բովանդակությունից, որը հաճախ կրկնում, տեղ–տեղ էլ անցնում է նախորդ ընտրությունների ու քարոզարշավների իրարամերժ ու դեստրուկտիվ բնույթը:
