Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի հետ հանդիպմանը ոչնչի  մասին չեմ խոսել: Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց Պոլսո պատրիարքի փոխանորդ Արամ արքեպիսկոպոս Աթեշյանը:

«Ոչինչ չենք խոսել: Պարզապես այնտեղ էի նրան շնորհավորելու համար»,- ասաց նա՝ նշելով, որ հանդիպմանը Թուրքիայում հայ համայնքի խնդիրների մասին ոչ մի ակնարկ չի եղել:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Պոլսո Հայոց պատրիարքի փոխանորդ Արամ Աթեշյանը Ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում հրապարակել էր լուսանկար և տեղեկացրել, որ օրերս Թուրքիայում Դումլուփընարի ճակատամարտի հաղթանակի 96-ամյակին նվիրված հանդիսավոր միջոցառման ժամանակ հանդիպում է ունեցել նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի հետ։

Հարցին, թե իրեն չի՞ կաշկանդում այն, որ Թուրքիայի նախագահի հետ հանդիպումներն արժանանում են հայաստանցիների և Թուրքիայի հայ համայնքի դժգոհությունը, նա պատասխանեց․«Հազարից մեկն է քննադատում:

 
 
Շնորհավորողներն են շատ եղել: 100-ից 99-ը շնորհավորողներ են»:

Խոսելով Պոլսո հայոց պատրիարքարանում ներկայումս տիրող իրավիճակի մասին՝ նա նշեց, որ ոչ մի խնդիր չկա: «Շարունակում եմ Պոլսո պատրիարքի փոխանորդի գործունեությունը»,- ասաց նա։

Հարցին, թե ի՞նչ փուլում է պատրիարքական ընտրությունների գործընթացը, արդյոք ինչ-որ քայլեր ձեռնարկվե՞լ են այդ ընտրություններն անցկացնելու ուղղությամբ, նա պատասխանեց, որ Պատրիարքարանի կանոնադրության համաձայն, նոր պատրիարքի ընտրություններ կարող են լինել պատրիարքի հրաժարականից կամ մահից հետո:

«Հետևաբար՝ պետությունը մեզ ասում է՝ սպասեք մինչև մահ:  Երկրորդը խնդիրն այն է, որ մինչև հիմա նոր կանոնադրություն չենք պատրաստել: Հիմա ուզում ենք նոր կանոնադրություն կազմել, բայց այս անգամ եկեղեցականների միջև տարակարծություն կա․ ասում են՝ պատրիարքը թող ընտրվի, նոր կանոնադրությունը կազմեն և ուղարկեն հաստատման»,- ասաց նա:
