ՀՀ ԱԺ արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանն օգոստոսի 27-ին ընդունել է Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Մարտին Սոննբորնին, ով Հայաստանում է ՀՅԴ Եվրոպայի Հայ դատի գրասենյակի նախաձեռնությամբ և հրավերով: Հանդիպմանը ներկա է եղել ՀՅԴ Եվրոպայի Հայ դատի  գրասենյակի ղեկավար Գասպար Կարապետյանը:

 

 

 

Արմեն Աշոտյանն անդրադարձել է ՀՀ արտաքին քաղաքականության եվրոպական վեկտորին, կարևորվել ՀՀ-ԵՄ Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված համաձայնագրի դերն ու դրա հնարավորինս արագ վավերացումը ԵՄ անդամ-պետությունների ազգային խորհրդարանների կողմից: Զրուցակիցները կարևորել են ԵՄ-ի հետ առավել արդյունավետ հարաբերությունների զարգացումը, ինչի առնչությամբ Արմեն Աշոտյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստանը այս ժամանակաշրջանում Եվրոպական միությունից ակնկալում է քաղաքական հարցերում ավելի թիրախային քայլեր և աջակցություն:

 


Կողմերն անդրադարձել են միջազգային հարթակներում Ադրբեջանի մասնակցությամբ կոռուպցիոն սկանդալներին: Այս առնչությամբ ՀՀ ԱԺ արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահը նշել է, որ Ադրբեջանի կոռուպցիոն գործարքները հարվածում են եվրոպական ինստիտուտների քաղաքական վարկանիշին և պետք է անել հնարավորը միջազգային հարթակների օրակարգերը նմանատիպ նախադեպերից մաքուր պահելու համար:

 


Անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացին: Արմեն Աշոտյանը նշել է, որ հիմնախնդրում առանցքային է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովրդի ազատ կամարտահայտության իրացումը՝ հավելելով, որ խնդիրը չի կարող ունենալ ռազմական լուծում: Տարածաշրջանային կայունության խնդիրների համատեքստում հանձնաժողովի նախագահը կարևորել է սպառազինությունների մրցավազքի կանխարգելման միջազգային ջանքերը:
