SOCIETYԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել Է, որ Թուրքիան սխալ Է գործում՝ պատասխան միջոցներ կիրառելով Միացյալ Նահանգների դեմ, եւ հավելել Է, որ Վաշինգտոնը մտադիր չԷ զիջումների գնալ Անկարային: Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարն այդ այդ կապակցությամբ արտահայտվել Է Reuters գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
«Այն, ինչ անում Է Թուրքիան, ըստ իս, շատ տխրալի Է: Կարծում եմ, որ նրանք սխալ են գործում: Ոչ մի զիջում չի արվելու»,- ասել Է Թրամփը: Դրա հետ մեկտեղ նա նշել Է, թե իրեն չի հուզում, որ Թուրքիայի հետ հարաբերությունների սրումը կարող Է ազդել այլ երկրների տնտեսական իրադրության վրա: «Ես ապրումներ չունեմ այդ կապակցությամբ, ոչ մի ապրում:
Դա այն Է, ինչ հարկավոր Է անել»,- ասել Է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահը: Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը հրաժարվել Է տնային կալանքից ամերիկացի պաստոր Էնդրյու Բրանսոնի ազատման հարցը կապակցել թուրքական Halkbank բանկի նկատմամբ հետաքննության դադարեցման հետ: Ինչպես ճշտել են Սպիտակ տան աղբյուրները, «ԱՄՆ-ը Թուրքիային հասկանալ Է տվել, որ երկրների միջեւ վիճելի հարցերը, այդ թվում՝ Halkbank-ի նկատմամբ տուգանքները, չեն քննարկվի, քանի դեռ չեն ազատել Բրանսոնին»: «ՆԱՏՕ-ի գծով իսկական դաշնակիցը նախեւառաջ չԷր ձերբակալի Բրանսոնին»,- նշել Է Սպիտակ տան ներկայացուցիչը: Թրամփը հայտարարել Է, որ եթե Թուրքիան չազատի ձերբակալված ամերիկացի պաստոր Էնդրյու Բրանսոնին, Վաշինգտոնը կնվազեցնի այդ երկրին ցուցաբերվող աջակցության մակարդակը:
«Մենք ոչինչ չենք վճարի անմեղ մարդու ազատման համար, բայց մենք կկրճատենք Թուրքիային ցուցաբերվող աջակցությունը»,- գրել Է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահը Twitter-ում: Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ի ֆինանսների նախարար Սթիվեն Մնուչինը հայտարարել Է, որ Ամերիկան պաստորի գործի կապակցությամբ կարող Է ընդլայնել Թուրքիայի դեմ սահմանված պատժամիջոցների ցուցակը: «Մենք արդեն պատժամիջոցներ ենք սահմանել նրա կաբինետի մի քանի անդամների նկատմամբ: Մենք ավելի շատ միջոցներ ենք պլանավորել, եթե թուրքերն արագորեն չազատեն նրան»,- ասել Է նախարարը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
