Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը նոյեմբերի 5-ին ընդունել է Չեխիայի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու առաջնորդ, Պրահայի արքեպիսկոպոս Կարդինալ Դոմինիկ Դուկային: Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրին, ով, նրա խոսքով, հայ ժողովրդը « լավագույն բարեկամներից է և մշտապես սպասված հյուր Հայաստանում: Սերժ Սարգսյանը ջերմությամբ է հիշել Կարդինալ Դուկայի հետ իր նախորդ հանդիպումն ու գոհունակությամբ փաստել, որ հայ-չեխական տարբեր մակարդակի հանդիպումներից հետո երկկողմ հարաբերությունների ամրապնդմանը նոր լիցք է հաղորդվում, և դրանք շարունակում են դինամիկ զարգանալ:

Նախագահ Զեմանի հետ իր հանդիպման ժամանակ ձեռքբերված պայմանավորվածության համաձայն, Հայաստանում Չեխիայի դեսպանության բացումը ևս, Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի համոզմամբ, զգալիորեն կնպաստի հայ և չեխ ժողովուրդների բարեկամության, երկու պետությունների միջև հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործին: «Լինելով քրիստոնեությունը որպես պետական կրոն աշխարհում առաջինն ընդունած պետություն՝ մենք մեծապես արժևորում ենք աշխարհընկալմամբ մեզ մոտ կանգնած ժողովուրդների հետ հոգևոր կապի և փոխհարաբերությունների ընդլայնումը։ Անկասկած, չեխ ժողովուրդը նրանց թվին է պատկանում: Այդ տեսանկյունից մեծապես կարևորում և բարձր եմ գնահատում Ձեր այցը Հայաստան»,-ասել է Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:

Հանդիպմանը երկուստեք կարևորվել է Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու և Չեխ Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու հարաբերություններում առկա համագործակցային մթնոլորտը, որում, ըստ Նախագահի, անգնահատելի է Կարդինալ Դուկայի դերը: Հանրապետության Նախագահն իր գոհունակությունն է հայտնել Պրահայի Սուրբ Հոգի եկեղեցին Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ ծխական համայնքին տրամադրելու կապակցությամբ՝ այդ քայլը մեծ իրադարձություն համարելով Չեխիայի հայ համայնքի կյանքում՝ նրանց հավատի և ինքնության պահպանման տեսանկյունից:

«Շատ ուրախ եմ, որ ինձ առիթ է ընձեռվել այցելել Հայաստան՝ մի երկիր, որ ոչ միայն առաջինն է ընդունել քրիստոնեությունը որպես պետական կրոն, այլև ունի հարուստ հնագույն պատմություն ու մշակույթ և մի ժողովուրդ, որն այդ ամենի կրողն է և մեծագույն հարգանք է ներշնչում»,-ասել է Չեխիայի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու առաջնորդ, Պրահայի արքեպիսկոպոսը:

Նշելով, որ չեխ ժողովուրդը քաջատեղյակ է, թե ինչ ոճրագործություն է կատարվել անցյալ դարասկզբին հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ, Կարդինալ Դոմինիկ Դուկան ընդգծել է, թե` վստահ է՝ երկու բարեկամ ժողովուրդների, պետությունների և եկեղեցիների միջև ձևավորված ջերմ հարաբերություններն ու փոխգործակցությունը պետք է ուղղված լինի նաև աշխարհում խաղաղության հաստատմանն ու անհանդուրժողականության վերացմանը:
