Ավստրալուհի Էսենա Օ’Նիլն ունեցել է մոտ 700.000 հետևորդ Instagram սոցկայքում և 200.000 հետևորդ YouTube-ում, երբ հանկարծ հասկացել է, որ սոցկայքերն իրեն խելագարեցնում են` ստիպելով ավելի կատարյալ թվալ, քան իրականում է։

Երևակայական կյանքն այնքան է նրան հոգնեցրել, որ աղջիկը փակել է YouTube-ի ալիքը և ջնջել է նկարների մեծ մասը սոցկայքից, թեև այդ հաշիվները նրա եկամտի աղբյուրն էին, գրում է Лента-ն։

Մնացած լուսանկարները նա մեկնաբանել է նորովի. պատմել է` ինչպես է իրականում արվել այս կամ այն լուսանկարը: Օրինակ՝ ինչպես է մի ամբողջ օր վատնել լողափում «կատարյալ» լուսանկար ստանալու համար։ Կամ ինչպես ընտանեկան հանգստից ոչինչ չի հասկացել՝ ողջ օրը լուսանկարվելու պատճառով։ Ստացվել է և՛ զվարճալի, և՛ տխուր:

Մի քանի տարի մոդելը հրապարակել է «իդեալական գեղեցկության» լուսանկարներ` գումար վաստակելով տարբեր ապրանքներ գովազդով` ամսական մոտ 2.000 դոլար: Որպես բոնուս նա յուրաքանչյուր օր ստացել է հիացական հաղորդագրություններ:

«Շատերը նայում էին ինձ որպես մոդելի կամ ինչ-որ կատարյալ մարդու: Մեծանալով` ես հասկացա, որ դա սարսափելի է: Դա ամբողջությամբ հակառակն է այն արժեքներին, որոնք ես կցանկանայի առաջ տանել»,- ասել է Էսենան։

Այժմ նա Instagram-ը վերանվանել է Social Media Is Not Real Life և նոր բլոգ է վարում, որի օգնությամբ ցանկանում է պայքարել սոցմեդիայում ստի և պատրանքների դեմ:
