Ալմաստ. իրականում այս նյութից ավելի ամուր նյութ կա
SOCIETYԱլմաստը (նաև նրա հղկած տարատեսակը՝ ադամանդը) աշխարհի ամենապինդ նյութն է։
Իրականում սկսած 2005 թվականից այլևս այդպես չէ։ Գերմանիայի Բայրոյտի համալսարանի գիտնականները, մաքուր ածխածինը ենթարկելով բարձր ջերմաստիճանների և ճնշման ազդեցության, ստացել են նոր նյութ։ Այն անվանել են «հիպերալմաստ» կամ, գիտական լեզվով, «ալմաստի ագրեգացված նանոձողիկներ»։ Արտաքինից այս նյութը խիստ տարբերվում է ալմաստից, տեսքով նման է ասֆալտի կամ փայլուն սև թխվածքի։ Ինչպես հայտնի է, ալմաստը և գրաֆիտը (սովորական մատիտի միջուկը) ածխածնի ալլոտրոպ ձևափոխություններ են (այսինքն՝ կազմված են բացառապես ածխածնի ատոմներից)։ Գրաֆիտը բարձր ջերմաստիճանների և ճնշման ազդեցության տակ վերածվում է ալմաստի։ Գիտնականները այս դեպքում այդ ազդեցությանը ենթարկել են ածխածնի մեկ այլ տեսակը՝ ֆուլլերիտը, և ստացել հիպերալմաստ։ Ալմաստում ածխածնի ատոմները դասավորվում են խորանարդներով կառուցված բուրգի տեսքով, իսկ հիպերալմաստում ածխածնի ատոմները կպած են իրար ֆուտբոլի գնդակի տեսքով։
Որոշել, թե որ նյութն է պինդ, շատ հեշտ է։
Եթե շփվելիս մի նյութը մյուսին քերծում է, ապա այն ավելի պինդ է։ Նյութի պնդությունը որոշվում է Մոոսի հանքանյութերի հարաբերական ամրության 10 միավորանոց սանդղակով։ Ըստ այդ սանդղակի, ամենափափուկը տալկն է՝ 1 միավոր, հետո կապարը՝ 1,5 միավոր, միջին ամրության են պողպատը և ապակին՝ 5,5 միավոր, կորունդը ստացել է 9 միավոր, իսկ ամենավերին հորիզոնականում ալմաստն է՝ 10 միավոր։ Սակայն, քանի որ հիպերալմաստը քերծում է ալմաստին, նշանակում է այն սանդղակից դուրս է, և նրա միավորը 10–ից բարձր է։
Ի դեպ, ալմաստը և նրա հղկված տարատեսակ ադամանդը հավերժ չեն։ Գրաֆիտը, որը խիստ փափուկ նյութ է՝ քիմիապես ավելի կայուն է, քան ալմաստը։ Իրականում ցանկացած ալմաստ արտաքին միջավայրի ազդեցության տակ դանդաղորեն վերածվում է գրաֆիտի, այնքան դանդաղ, որ այդ ընթացքը չի նկատվում։
Ադամանդների սիրահար մեծահարուստ կանանց խորհուրդ ենք տալիս ադամանդները պահել հատուկ պայմաններ ունեցող չհրկիզվող պահարաններում, բայց հանկարծ չփորձեք այդ պահարանները ապահովել վակուում միջավայրով կամ լցնել իներտ գազերով (այս միջավայրերը արագացնում են ադամանդը գրաֆիտի վերածվելու պրոցեսը), այլապես, ասենք, «Տարվա լավագույն կին գործարար» մրցանակաբաշխության ժամանակ Ձեր ականջներից մատիտներ կախված կլինեն։
