Սուրբ Գեղարդի կոթառի միջից մի փոքրիկ մասունք նվիրաբերվել է Ալեքսի Երկրորդին. Մայր Տաճարում հուլիսի 7-ին զետեղվելու է Սուրբ Գեղարդը

Սուրբ Գեղարդն ամբողջական է, որևէ խաթարում, որևէ պակաս չունի։ 2004 թվականին Ռուսաց  եկեղեցու երջանկահիշատակ պատրիարք Ալեքսի Երկրորդի  75-ամյակի առիթով Գեղարդի կոթառի միջից մի փոքրիկ մասունք, կարելի է ասել փշրանք, նվիրաբերվել է իրեն՝ փոքրիկ արծաթյա  կրկնօրինակի մեջ զետեղված, որը Ալեքսի  պատրիարքի օրհնությամբ տեղադրվել է Պետերբուրգից ոչ հեռու գտնվող սուրբ Կոնստանտին և Սուրբ Հեղինե վանքում:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում այս մասին ասաց Մայր Աթոռի ձեռագրատան, արխիվի և թանգարանների տնօրեն Տեր Ասողիկ քահանա Կարապետյանը, լրատվամիջոցների ներկայացուցիչներին ցուցադրելով  Սուրբ Գեղարդը: «Այն 18-րդ դարի 60-ական թվականներից պահվում է Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում՝ Ամենայն հայոց հայրապետերի հատուկ հսկողության ներքո»,-ասաց Տեր Ասողիկը:

Նա նշեց, որ Գեղարդի վրա երկու սուրգուչե կնիքներ կան,  որոնք դրոշմվել են Սուրբ Գեղարդին Դավիթ Հինգերորդ և Դանիել Առաջին ամենայն հայոց  կաթողիկոսների կողմից (19-րդ դար), որպեսզի բուն Գեղարդը կարողանանք տարբերակել կրկնօրինակից, որը պատրաստվել է 18-րդ դարի ընթացքում զուտ ապահովության համար: «Սուրբ Գեղարդը հատուկ պահոցից հատուկ կարգով դուրս է բերվում Մյուռոնօրհնության  առիթով, և արդեն չորս տարի է Վեհափառ Հայրապետի հատուկ տնօրինությամբ Գեղարդի ուխտի օր է հռչակվել Հայոց առաջին լուսավորիչների՝ Սուրբ Թադեոսի և Սուրբ  Բարդուղեմիոսի հիշատակի օրը»,-նշեց նա:

Տեր Ասողիկը  տեղեկացրեց, որ Վեհափառ Հայրապետի բացառիկ տնօրինությամբ վաղը  ժամը 11։00-ին Մայր Տաճարում  զետեղվելու է Սուրբ Գեղարդը, որպեսզի հավատացյալներն այցելեն և հնարավորություն ունենան հպվելու, ինչպես նաև Սուրբ Գեղարդի զորությամբ զորեղանալու։
