ՀՀ ՌԴ նորնաշանակ դեսպան Սերգեյ Կոպիրկինը հուլիսի 5-ին ճանաչողական այցով Գյումրիում էր: Այցի շրջանակներում դեսպանը եղավը Գյումրիում տեղակայված ՌԴ հյուպատոսարանում, ծանոթացավ հյուպատոսարանի աշխատանքին, եղավ նաև Ռուսական գիտության ու մշակույթի կենտրոնում, 102-րդ ռազմաբազայում և սահմանապահ ջոկատում: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, դեսպանը հանդիպեց նաև Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանին: «Իմ պարտքն էր այցելել Գյումրի, այստեղ տեղում ծանոթանալ այն բոլոր կառույցների գործունեությանը, որոնք անչափ կարևոր են մեր համար: Սա իմ առաջին այցն է, բայց վերջինը չի լինի, հատկապես հաշվի առնելով պատմական շատ իրադարձություններ այս քաղաքի հետ կապված: Այս այցի ընթացքում ծրագրել եմ լինել այն բոլոր կառույցներում, որոնց գործունեությունը մեծ նշանակություն ունի մեր երկու երկների հումանիտար համագործակցության համար»,-Սամվել Բալասանյանի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ նշեց նորանշանակ դեսպանը:
Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանը շնորհակալություն հայտնելով փաստեց՝ ռուսական կողմի հետ հարաբերությունները միշտ էլ լավ են եղել, սակայն սա չի նշանակում , որ չկան հարցեր, որոնք լուծում են պահանջում: Հարցերից Սամվել Բալասանյանն առանձնացրեց Գյումրու Մայր Հայաստան հուշահամալիրի տարածքից մինչև 102-րդ ռազմաբազ տանող մոտ 10 կմ ճանապարհի վերանորոգման խնդիրը: Խնդիրը տարիներ առաջ բարձրացվել է, սակայն մինչ այսօր լուծում չի ստացել, խոսքը վերաբերում է բազայի ծանր զինտեխնիկայի պատճառով վնասված ճանապարհին: «Հայ-ռուսական միջպետական հանձնաժողովին հարցը ներկայացվել է, նույնիսկ արդեն կար նախահաշիվ կազմած, սակայն դեռ սպասում ենք պատասխանին, հուսանք, ձեր շնորհիվ հարցը լուծում կստանա»,-նշեց Սամվել Բալասանյանը՝ հավելելով, որ խնդիր կա նաև Գյումրիում 8-րդ ռուսական թաղամասի հետ կապված: Թաղամասը, որը մինչ այս գտնվում է 102-րդ ռազմաբազայի հաշվեկշռում, առաջարկ է եղել հանձնել քաղաքի հաշվեկշիռ, ինչը մի շարք խնդիրներ կստեղծի համայնքի համար: Սամվել Բալասանյանը նաև փաստեց, որ ռուսական կողմը համաձայնել է վերանորոգել Գյումրու նախկին փոստի շենքը: «Շատ ուրախ եմ, որ հենց առաջին հանդիպման ընթացքում ձեր կողմից բարձրացվեցին խնդիրներ: Հուսամ, աշխատանքային լավ հարաբերություններից բացի նաև լավ բարեկամական հարաբերություններ կունենանք»,-նշեց դեսպանը:
