SPORTԲասկետբոլի հավաքականը շանսեր ունի պայքարելու Եվրոպայի 2021 թվականի առաջնության նախաորակավորման փուլում:
«Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը նման կարծիք հայտնեց Հայաստանի բասկետբոլի ֆեդերացիայի գլխավոր քարտուղար Արթուր Նազարյանը: «Ավստրիայի հավաքականը հավասարազոր մրցակից է: Կազմերով մեր թիմերը շատ մոտ են: Դժվար է ասել՝ Հայաստանն է ուժեղ, թե նրանք: Ավստրիան ունի NBA-ում հանդես եկող մեկ բասկետբոլիստ և դեռևս հայտնի չէ՝ կգա նա այդ խաղերին, թե ոչ: Մեծ Բրիտանիայի հավաքականն առավել ուժեղ կազմ ունի, բայց նրանք այն բարձրակարգ եվրոպական թիմերը չեն, ինչպիսին են Սերբիան, Գերմանիան և այլն: Հայաստանի հավաքականը շանսեր ունի երկու թիմերի դեմ հավասար պայքարելու, եթե մեր հիմնական կազմի բասկետբոլիստները միանան թիմին»,-ասաց նա:
Հայաստանի ընտրանին Եվրոբասկետ-2021-ի նախընտրական 2-րդ փուլի խմբային մրցաշարում պայքարը կսկսի սեպտեմբերի 13-ին՝ արտագնա խաղում մրցելով Ավստրիայի հետ: Այնուհետև` սեպտեմբերի 16-ին, ազգային ընտրանին Երևանում ուժերը կչափի Մեծ Բրիտանիայի թիմի հետ:
Որոշ դադարից հետո հավաքականը հաջորդ հանդիպումը կանցկացնի դեկտեմբերի 2-ին՝ Երևանում մրցելով Ավստրիայի ընտրանու հետ, իսկ 2019 թվականի փետրվարի 21-ին թիմը վերջին խաղում կմրցի Մեծ Բրիտանիայի հավաքականի հետ Լոնդոնում:
