ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը համոզված է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի Ներգաղթի եւ մաքսային ծառայության լուծարման դեպքում, երկրում ոչ մի բնակիչ չի կարող փողոցում իրեն ապահով զգալ: Այս մասին ՏԱՍՍ-ի հաղորդմամբ, նա ասել է Fox News-ին տված հարցազրույցում, որից հատվածները հրապարակվել են շաբաթ, ամբողջությամբ այն կցուցադրվի կիրակի:
Լրագրողը խնդրել է Թրամփին մեկնաբանել Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից իր հակառակորդների հայտարարությունները՝ իբրեւ թե չափազանց կոշտ գործողությունների պատճառով այդ ծառայությունը արգելելու անհրաժեշտության մասին: Այն մտնում է ԱՄՆ-ի Ներքին անվտանգության նախարարության կազմում է եւ զբաղվում է սահմանների հսկողությամբ, ապօրինի ներգաղթյալների ձերբակալությամբ եւ արտաքսումով:
«Հուսով եմ, նրանք կշարունակեն մտածել այդ մասին,-դեմոկրատների մասին ասել է Թրամփը, -քանի որ նրանք ջախջախիչ պարտություն կկրեն»: Թրամփը հիշեցրել է, որ ծառայության աշխատակիցները ակտիվորեն հակազդում են MS-13 հանցավոր խմբավորմանը:
«Եթե դուք ազատվեք Ներգաղթի եւ մաքսային ծառայությունից, ապա երկիրն այնպիսին կդառնա, որ անգամ սարսափելի կլինի տանից դուրս գալը», - հավաստիացրել է նախագահը:
