 Հարավային Սուդանում  նոյեմբերի 4-ն կործանված ԱՆ-12 ինքնաթիռի զոհված անձնակազմի անդամներից հինգը ՀՀ քաղաքացիներ են: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը «Ֆեյսբուք» սոցիալական ցանցի իր էջի միջոցով: «Եգիպտոսում ՀՀ դեսպանության նախնական տվյալներով` վթարված բեռնատար ինքնաթիռի զոհված անձնակազմի անդամներից հինգը ՀՀ քաղաքացիներ են: Զոհերի ինքնության վերաբերյալ տեղեկտվութունը կտրամադրվի հավելյալ»,-նշում են ԱԳՆ-ից: 

Հայտնի է դարձել նաև, որ օդանավը շահագործվում էր տաջիկական Asia Airways ընկերության կողմից: Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԿԱ քաղացիական ավիացիայի գլխավոր վարչության մամուլի ծառայությունից, անձնակազմի զոհված անդամները ՀՀ ՔԱԳՎ կողմից օդաչուական անձնակազմի արտոնագրված մասնագետներ չեն:

Ռուսական մի շարք լրատվամիջոցներ տեղեկատվություն էին տարածել, որ Հարավային Սուդանում կործանված ռուսական բեռնատար ինքնաթիռը գրանցված է եղել Հայաստանում եւ պատկանել է հայկական կազմակերպության: 

Նոյեմբերի 4-ին Reuters գործակալությունը հայտնել Էր, որ ինքնաթիռն ընկել Է օդանավակայանից 800 մետր հեռավորության վրա: Ուգանդայում Ռուսաստանի դեսպանությունը, որն զբաղվում Է Հարավային Սուդանի գործերով, հավաստել Է Ան-12-ի կործանման փաստը, հավելելով, որ զբաղված են պատահարի հանգամանքները պարզելով: Ականատեսները վկայությամբ 40-ից ավելի մարմիններ կան փոխադրական ինքնաթիռի կործմանման վայրում: Իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչների խոսքով՝ օդանավում եղել Է շուրջ քսան մարդ, այդ թվում՝ 10-ից մինչեւ 15 ուղեւորներ եւ ռուսական անձնակազմի հինգ անդամներ: Թե քա նի մարդ Է զոհվել գետնի վրա բեռնատար ինքնաթիռի կործմանման հետեւանքով, չի հաղորդվում: Նախնական տվալներով՝ ողջ է մնացել երկու մարդ՝ անձնակազմի անդամներից մեկը եւ մի երեխա:
