Մենք գիտենք, որ...

ԳՄՕ (գենետիկորեն մոդիֆիկացված օրգանիզմ) պարունակող սննդամթերքը վտանգավոր է մարդու առողջության համար: Ի դեպ, Հայաստանում, ինչպես նաև մի շարք երկրներում այն արգելված է

Իրականում պարզվում է՝ այնքան էլ այդպես չէ: Չկա ոչ մի գիտական տվյալ ԳՄՕ պարունակող սննդամթերքի վնասակարության մասին: Գործում է մարդկային ինքնապահպանության սովորական բնազդը՝ ամեն նոր բանից հեռու մնալ: Իսկ ընդհանրապես, գիտականորեն 100 %–ով երաշխավորել որևէ սննդամթերքի անվտանգություն անհնար է:

ԳՄՕ–ն այն է, որի գենոտիպն արհեստականորեն փոփոխվել է գենային ինժեներիայի մեթոդներով։ Կիրառվում է բույսերի, կենդանիների և միկրոօրգանիզմների համար։ Մոտավորապես 12 000 տարի առաջ արհեստական ընտրության և բուծման միջոցով մարդիկ արդեն ընտելացրել են որոշ բույսեր և կենդանիներ: Ընտրողական բուծման գործընթացը՝ սելեկցիան, որում ընտրվում են օգտակար հատկանիշներով առանձնյակներ և օգտագործվում սերունդ ստանալու նպատակով, հանդիսանում է ժամանակակից գենետիկական ձևափոխման նախատիպը: Նույնը հիմա կատարվում է ԳՄՕ օրգանիզմ ստանալիս, սակայն կարճ ժամանակում: Գենային ինժեներիան օգտագործվում է նոր տեսակի բույսերի և կենդանիների ստացման համար, որոնք ավելի կայուն կլինեն միջավայրի անբարենպաստ պայմանների և վնասատուների նկատմամբ, կունենան լավ որակական հատկանիշներ:

Ինչպես ցանկացած սննդամթերք, այնպես էլ ԳՄՕ պարունակող սննդի ԴՆԹ–ն մարսվում է մարդու ստամոքսում և այդ մարսված գեները չեն կարող ազդել մարդու վրա: Ի դեպ, հաճախ ԳՄՕ պարունակող սննդամթերքը ավելի օգտավետ է, քան այլ սննդամթերք, քանի որ, օրինակ, նրա աճեցման համար թունաքիմիկատներ չեն օգտագործվում, ավելի սննդարար են և ամենակարևորը՝ ավելի էժան:

Ներկայում շատ երկրներում ինչպես աճեցնում, այնպես էլ սննդում օգտագործում են ԳՄՕ պարունակող սննդամթերք: Ենթադրվում է, որ, օրինակ, ԱՄՆ–ում այն կազմում է 40 % (ԱՄՆ– ում չի պահանջվում սննդամթերքի պիտակի վրա ԳՄՕ պարունակության մասին նշում կատարել): Չնայած օրենսդրորեն Հայաստանում դրանք արգելված են՝ նշել, որ մենք չենք օգտագործում ԳՄՕ, անհնար է (ԳՄՕ–ի լաբորատոր հաստատումը խիստ բարդ է): Ի դեպ, ԱՄՆ–ը հանդիսանում է երկարակեցության բարձր մակարդակ ունեցող երկիր:

Կարևորն այստեղ այն է, որ բնապահպանները և առողջ սննդի ջատագովները նոր թեմա ունեն: Բայց առաջարկում եմ այս ամենի համար ինձ «չուտել», քանի որ ես էլ եմ ԳՄՕ պարունակում:
