Յոգայի միջազգային օրը կնշվի Հայաստանի մի քանի քաղաքներում՝ Երևանում, Վանաձորում և Ջերմուկում:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ աշխարհում Յոգայի օրը նշվում է արդեն 4-րդ տարին անընդմեջ:

«Հնդկաստանի դեսպանատունը հրավիրում է յոգայի սիրահարներին՝ հունիսի 21-ին մասնակցել մարզումներին: Երևանում այն տեղի կունենա Թումո կենտրոնի հարևանությամբ գտնվող այգում»,- նշեց Հնդկաստանի դեսպանատան գրասենյակի ղեկավար Նիկհիլեշ Մոհան Դհիրարը:

Հնդկաստանի մշակույթի կենտրոնի և յոգայի ուսուցիչ Արտի Կիրանը կարծում է, որ յոգան շատ ավելին է, քան պարզապես վարժանքը, այն կյանքի ձև է:

«Յոգան մեծ հնարավորություններով լի մի զամբյուղ է, և ցանկացած տարիքի անձինք կարող են զբաղվել, քանի որ այն տարիքային սահմանափակումներ չունի: Կարծում եմ, յոգայով պետք է զբաղվել, ինչպես պարտադիր է հետևել անձնական հիգիենային: Ժամանակակից կյանքում շատերը սթրեսի են ենթարկվում և չունեն շատ ազատ ժամանակ, սակայն այդ վիճակից դուրս գալու համար կա մեկ լուծում՝ զբաղվել յոգայով»,- ասաց Կիրանը:

Նա շեշտեց, որ արդեն իսկ ունի մոտ 150 մարզվող, ովքեր պարբերաբար հաճախում են յոգայի դասերի: Յոգայի դասընթացներին մասնակցում է երկու փոքրիկ երեխա, ինչպես նաև հաճախում են տղամարդիկ:

«Կանայք ավելի շատ են, բայց ընդհանուր մասնակիցների 15-20 տոկոսը կազմում են տղամարդիկ: Մեր ամենատարեց  մասնակիցն 87 տարեկան է, ով ամբողջ խմբին շատ է ոգևորում և մոտիվացնում»,- ընդգծեց Արտի Կիրանը:

Հնդկաստանի վարչապետ Նարենդրա Մոդիի նախաձեռնությամբ ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր ասամբլեան 2014 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 11-ին հաստատեց առաջարկը՝ ընդունել հունիսի 21-ը որպես Յոգայի միջազգային օր: «Յոգա» բառն առաջացել է սանսկրիտ «յուջ» արմատից, ինչը նշանակում է «միացնել», «կապակցել» կամ «միավորել»:
