«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Երբ առաջին անգամ հիմա արդեն առաջին փոխվարչապետ Արարատ Միրզոյանը հայտարարեց, թե իր կարծիքով՝ պաշտպանության նախարարի լավագույն թեկնածուն Դավիթ Տոնոյանն է, հանրապետականների շրջանում մեծ աղմուկ է բարձրացել: Իսկ երբ արդեն հաստատվեց, որ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Տոնոյանի թեկնածությունն է ներկայացրել ՀՀ նախագահին՝ պաշտպանության նախարար նշանակելու համար, մեր տեղեկություններով, որոշ ՀՀԿ-ականներ ընդհանրապես չեն կարողացել զսպել իրենց զայրույթը: Ավելին, նրանք ԱԺ ՀՀԿ խմբակցության նիստում ոչ միայն վիրավորական արտահայտություններ են հնչեցրել Տոնոյանի հասցեին, այլև առաջարկել են լրատվամիջոցներով վարկաբեկման արշավ կազմակերպել: Կատաղության այս մոլուցքը հանդարտեցրել է ՀՀԿ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը: ՀՀԿ-ի մեր աղբյուրը նշում է, որ վերջինս սաստել է բոլորին, թե Տոնոյանի հետ խնդիր ունեցողները խնդիր կունենան իր հետ: «Հիշեք՝ Դավիթն ինձ անվերապահ հավատարիմ մի քանի անձանցից մեկն է»,-ասել է Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
