ՀՀ ոստիկանությունը տեղեկացնում է, որ  հանրապետությունում արագաչափերն ու տեսանկարահանող սարքերը շարունակում են գործել:ՀՀ ոստիկանության լրատվական բաժնի տարածված հաղորդագրության մեջ մասնավորապես ասվում է.

«Վերջին օրերի որոշ հայտարարությունների թյուրըմբռնման պատճառով, հանրության մեջ կարծիք է ձևավորվել, թե հանրապետության ճանապարհների արագաչափ և տեսանկարահանող սարքերը չեն գործում ու չեն արձանագրում ճանապարհային երթևեկության կանոնների խախտումները:
Տեղեկացնում ենք, որ արագաչափերն ու տեսանկարահանող սարքերը շարունակում են գործել:
Միաժամանակ պարզաբանենք, որ ՀՀ վարչապետի հանձնարարականի համաձայն` ոստիկանությունում մշակվում են համալիր միջոցառումներ` ոլորտում էական փոփոխություններ կատարելու ուղղությամբ, որոնք ՀՀ արդարադատության նախարարության հետ համաձայնեցնելուց հետո կարճ ժամկետում կներկայացվեն հանրությանը:
Ոստիկանությունը երթևեկության մասնակիցներին կոչ է անում խստորեն պահպանել երթևեկության կանոնները. դա օրենքի պահանջն է և բոլորիս անվտանգության ապահովման նպատակ է հետապնդում»:

Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը մայիսի 17-ին կառավարության նիստում հայտարարել է, որ նպատակահարմար է համարում ժամանակավորապես դադարեցնել արագաչափերի և տեսախցիկների գործունեությունը: «Կարծում եմ, որ հսկայական տույժ տուգանքներ կան կուտակված և մարդիկ չեն կարողացել վճարել դրանք հնարավորություն չունենալու պատճառով: Պետք է մեխանիզմներ մտածենք՝ պարտքը ներելու մասին և քննարկենք արագաչափերի և տեսախցիկների գործունեության հետագա արդյունավետության հարցը: Գտնում եմ, որ  նպատակահարմար կլինի ինչ-որ ժամանակաշրջանում դրանց գործունեությունը դադարեցնել, կասեցնել կամ առնվազն պետք է պրակտիկան դադարեցնենք, երբ հոծ գծեր շոշափելու համար մարդկանց տուգանում են»,- ասել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:
