Британская разведка начнет изучение коррупционных сделок с участием семьи президента Азербайджана

Премьер-министр Великобритании Тереза Мэй в беседе с журналистами отметила, что британская разведка и Национальное агентство по борьбе с преступностью начнут расследовать финансовую и предпринимательскую деятельность лиц, подозреваемых в коррупционных сделках. Об этом сообщает информационное агентство azadliq.info.

По словам британского источника «Радио Свобода», секретному расследованию будет подвергнута также бизнес-коммерционная деятельность, которую осуществляет в этой стране семья президента Азербайджана Ильхама Алиева. «Все время поступают новые, любопытные подробности об отмывании денег правящей в Азербайджане семьей Алиева», - отмечает сайт.

Проект освещения организованной преступности и коррупции (Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project) опубликовал в конце лета 2017 года информацию, согласно которой правящая элита Азербайджана два года подряд владела тайным счетом в около 3 млрд долларов США, посредством которого европейским политическим деятелям выплачивались деньги за принятие проазербайджанских решений, а также совершались дорогостоящие покупки.

Отмечается, что большая часть суммы была выплачена лоббистам, журналистам, политическим деятелям и предпринимателям. Схема оплаты особенно удачно сработала в 2013 году, во время голосования в Парламентской ассамблее Евросовета чрезвычайно важного для Азербайджана доклада. Голосование было связано с политзаключенными в Азербайджане.
