«Ад на колесах»: Скандальный фотопроект о Нью Йоркском метро 80-х
LIFEШвейцарский фотограф Уилли Спиллер сделал себе имя благодаря смелым репортажным снимкам, подмечая в них то, на что мало кто обращает внимание.
В 1977 году он на несколько лет переехал жить в Нью-Йорк, а в 1985 году вышел его фотопроект, полностью посвященный местному метрополитену. В то время подземка считалась крайне опасным местом. Так в 1979 году полицейские регистрировали здесь 250 тяжелых преступлений каждую неделю!
Впрочем, самого Спиллера метро отнюдь не пугало. Основа и снова спускался под землю для того, чтобы зафиксировать на пленке жизнь обыкновенных пассажиров. Свой проект фотограф назвал «Ад на колесах».
