 Հայ խաղաղապահների գործունեությունը միջազգային հանրությունն ընկալում է դրական, իսկ նրանց պրոֆեսիոնալիզմն ու զինվորական մասնագիտական մակարդակը գնահատվում են ըստ արժանվույն: Տեսակետը`ՀՀ ԱԳՆ սպառազինությունների վերահսկման և միջազգային անվտանգության վարչություն պետ Սամվել Մկրտչյանինն է:

Մկրտչյանը շեշտում է, որ Հայաստանը մտադիր է շարունակել եւ զարգացնել իր խաղաղապահ առաքելությունը միջազգային կազմակերպությունների հետ համագործակցության շրջանակում:

«Համագործակցության վերջին օրինակներից էր Լիբանանում հայ խաղաղապահների տեղեկայումը, որն իրականացվում է ՄԱԿ-ի շրջանակում: Մալիում ունենք մեկ շտաբային սպայի մասնակցություն: Առայժմ քննարկումները շարունակվում են ՄԱԿ-ի եւ այլ գործընկերների հետ, որպեսզի կողմերը գտնեն այն ճիշտ ոլորտը եւ ունենան այն կարողությունները, որը հնարավորություն կտա իրականացնել խաղաղապահ առաքելություն»,- ասաց Սամվել Մկրտչյանը:

ՀՀ ԱԳՆ ներկայացուցիչը շեշտեց, որ այժմ Հայաստանն ակտիվ կերպով աշխատում է ՄԱԿ-ի խաղաղապահության տնօրինության հետ, եւ դրա շրջանակում հայ խաղաղապահները ձեռք են բերում նոր կարողություններ ու հմտություններ: «Խաղաղապահությունը, որպես երեւույթ, ձեւափոխումների է ենթարկվում եւ անհրաժեշտ են նոր գաղափարներ եւ պահանջներ, եւ այդ ուղղությամբ մենք աշխատում ենք ՄԱԿ-ի հետ, որպեսզի կարողանանք, առաջին հերթին մենք  վերապատրաստվենք, ձեռք բերենք այդ կարողությունները, ինչը մեզ հնարավորություն կտա ապագայում մասնակից դառնալ այլ խաղաղապահ գործողություններին»,- ասաց Մկրտչյանը:

Խոսելով հայ խաղաղապահների մասնագիտական կարողությունների մասին` Մկրտչյանը հիշեց, որ 2004-ին, երբ Հայաստանն առաջին անգամ էր ներգրավվում նման առաքելության բնագավառ, հայ խաղաղապահները Կոսովոյում հայտնվեցին միջհամայնքային բախումների կիզակետում եւ շատ լարված իրավիճակում կարողացան ցույց տալ մասնագիտական պատրաստվածություն եւ պատվով գործեցին բավական նուրբ իրավիճակում:

Սկսած 2004 թվականից Հայաստանը ՆԱՏՕ-ի եւ ՄԱԿ_ի հետ համագործակցության շրջանակում խաղաղապահ առաքելություն է իրականացնում աշխարհի թեժ կետերում: Այս ընթացքում Հայաստանն ստանձնել է նաեւ միջազգային անվտանգության պահպանողի դերակատարությունը` խաղաղապահ առաքելություն իրականացնելով Կոսովոյում, Աֆղանստանում, Լիբանանում, Մալիում:
