ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը փետրվարի 14-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Հունաստանի Հանրապետության արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Նաֆսիկա Նենսի Էվա Վրայլային:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հանրային կապերի վարչությունից, Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը բարձր է գնահատել հայ-հունական բարեկամական հարաբերությունները եւ փաստել, որ դրանք օրեցօր զարգանում ու սերտանում են:

ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահն անդրադարձել է նախորդ տարի նոյեմբերի 24-ին ստորագրված ՀՀ-ԵՄ Համապարփակ եւ ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրին՝ նշելով, որ Հայաստանն ակնկալում է դրա հնարավորինս արագ վավերացումը հունական խորհրդարանի կողմից:

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են նաեւ ցեղասպանությունների դատապարտմանն ու ժխտողականության մերժմանը վերաբերող հարցեր: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը նշել է, որ ՄԱԿ-ի կողմից 1948 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 9-ին ընդունված «Ցեղասպանություն հանցագործության կանխման եւ պատժման» կոնվենցիայի 70-րդ հոբելյանական տարվա կապակցությամբ Հայաստանի խորհրդարանը ցուցադրություններ է նախատեսում կազմակերպել եվրոպական մի շարք երկրներում՝ «Խորհրդարանականներն ընդդեմ ցեղասպանության» խորագրով: Զրուցակիցները քննարկել են Հունաստանի Հանրապետությունում նման ցուցադրություն կազմակերպելու հնարավորությունը, որը կնվիրվի 20-րդ դարասկզբին Օսմանյան Թուրքիայի կողմից ցեղասպանության զոհ դարձած հայ եւ հույն ժողովուրդներին: Խորհրդարանի փոխխոսնակը տեղեկացրել է, որ առաջիկա ապրիլի 30-ին նման ցուցադրություն ընդդեմ թուրքական ժխտողականության նախատեսված է իրականացնել Սլովակիայի մայրաքաղաք Բրատիսլավայում:

Տարածաշրջանային խնդիրներին անդրադառնալով՝ ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Թուրքիայի կողմից վարվող քաղաքականության արդյունքում ակնհայտ է դառնում, որ նա գրեթե չունի հարեւան, որի հետ չունի խնդիրներ: Այս համատեքստում Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը մասնավորապես անդրադարձել է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի վերջին հայտարարությանը՝ կապված ԵՄ անդամ երկրներ Հունաստանի եւ Կիպրոսի հետ: Այն, մասնավորապես, առնչվում է Կիպրոս կղզում հունական կողմի նավթի եւ գազի հորատման ու արտահանման հետ: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովի գնահատմամբ՝ սա Թուրքիայի կողմից իրականացվող բացահայտ օկուպացիա է, եւ նույն քաղաքականությունն այս տարածաշրջանում իրականացնում է Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիեւը:
