ԱՄՆ-ում հայ ուսանողները Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման լուռ ակցիաներ են կազմակերպել

ԱՄՆ Կալիֆորնիայի Սան Դիեգո համալսարանի դիմաց մի խումբ ուսանողներ լուռ ակցիա են անցկացրել՝ բողոքելով այն փաստի դեմ, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները մինչ օրս հրաժարվում է պաշտոնապես ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, հայտնում է Past.am-ը, հղում անելով «Արմենպրեսին»:

Բողոքի ակցիայի մասնակիցները կարմիր պաստառներ են պահել, որոնց վրա գրված է եղել «Վաղվա մտավորականները դեմ են ցեղասպանությանը», «Ժխտման բիծը»: Պաստառներից մեկի վրա օսմանյան փաշայի կողքին պատկերված է եղել ֆաշիստների առաջնորդ Ադոլֆ Հիտլերի նկարը՝ «Ո՞րտեղ է մեր ճանաչումը» գրությամբ:

Սան Դիեգոյի հայկական ուսանողական ասոցիացիայի անդամ Մեգ Զարգարյանը նշել է, որ այս օրերին նմանօրինակ ակցիաներ են անցկացվում ԱՄՆ արևելյան ափից մինչև արևմտյան ափ ձգվող կրթական կենտրոններում:

Ուսանողներից Ալբերտ Դանիելյանը նշել է, որ կարևոր է Հայոց ցեղասպանության հիշատակումը, քանի որ այն ժամանակակից պատմության ընթացքում էթնիկ զտման առաջին դեպքն էր: «Չնայած ԱՄՆ-ն ճանաչել է Հոլոքոստը, սակայն մինչ օրս պետությունը հերքում է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Այն պետք է ճանաչվի, որպեսզի մեր ձայնն էլ լսելի դառնա»,- ասել է նա:

Նմանօրինակ բողոքի ակցիա են կազմակերպել նաև Լոս Անջելեսի Կալիֆորնիայի համալսարանի Հայկական ուսանողական ասոցիացիայի անդամները: Ասոցիացիայի ղեկավար կազմի ներկայացուցիչ Արա Մանջիկյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ բողոքի նմանօրինակ ակցիաները կնպաստեն ուսանողների շրջանակում Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին իրազեկվածության բարձրացմանը, քանի որ հենց այդ ուսանողներն են, որ ապագայում օգնելու են ձևավորել ԱՄՆ քաղաքականությունը:
