Արմեն Հովասափյանը Ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

«Հելոուին» տոնը սկսել են նշել շատ վաղուց` Բրիտանիայում և Հյուսիսային Ֆրանսիայում: Հեթանոսական ժամանակներում այս տարածքներում ապրող ցեղախմբերը (հիմնականում կելտերը) տարին բաժանում էին երկու մասի` ձմեռ և ամառ: Ամբողջ ձմեռ Արևի աստվածը գերի էր ընկնում Մեռածների և խավարի Աստծու` Սաուինի մոտ: Նոյեմբերի 1-ին ցեղախմբերը տոնակատարություն էին կազմակերպում` ի պատիվ Սաուինի:

Ըստ հնագույն լեգենդի՝ այդ գիշեր դժոխքի դռները բացվում են աշխարհի առջև, և դժոխային կերպարանքները ներխուժում են երկիր: Ըստ ավանդույթի՝ երեկոյան մարդիկ վառում են լապտերները, որպեսի վախեցնեն չար հոգիներին:
Մեր թվարկությունից առաջ՝ հռոմեցիները զավթեցին Բրիտանիայի և Հյուսիսային Ֆրանսիայի տարածքները` իրենց հետ բերելով մի ավանդույթներ. նրանք տոնը հաստատեցին հոկտեմբերի վերջին և նվիրեցին մահացածներին:
Արդեն 9-րդ դարում, երբ ամբողջ Բրիտանիայում տարածվեց քրիստոնեությունը, այդ հնագույն ավանդույթները խառնվեցին, և ծնունդ տվեցին մի նոր տոնի` Բոլոր Կաթոլիկ Սրբերի տոն` All Hallows Even: Ավելի ուշ այն անվանվեց Halloween:

Տոնի խորհրդանիշն է` Halloween-ի դդմե գլուխը: Դդումը խորհրդանշում է չար ոգիների կործանարար ուժը, որի միջից արձակված կրակը վախեցնում է նրանց: Այս անհասկանալի տոնի խորհրդանիշի մասին պատմությունը կարդալուց հետո «տոնի» իրական իմաստը դառնում է ակնհայտ: Դարեր առաջ Ջեք անունով (դդումը ներկայումս կոչվում է Ջեք անվամբ) իռլանդացի դարբին էր ապրում: Նրա խորամանկության և ժլատության մասին լեգենդներ են պտտվում մինչ այսօր: Ասում են` նա այնքան խորամանկ էր, որ խաբել է անգամ Սատանային, որը նրան խոստացել է երբեք չտանել իր հոգին: Վերջին մի քանի տարիներին հայ իրականության մեջ բավականին լայն մասսայականություն վայելող այս արևմտածին հիբրիդի ողջ պատմությունն այս է: Այսպես կոչված տոնը, որը չգիտես ինչու ոմանք համարում են կրոնական, առավել ևս քրիստոնեական ծիսակատարություն, որևէ աղերս չունի հայի տեսակի և հայ մշակույթի հետ, որովհետև, ըստ էության, այս «դիմակահանդեսը» բացառապես ծառայում է մութ ուժերին և ակնհայտ սատանիզմ է քարոզում:

Հարկ է նշել նաև, որ քրիստոնեական եկեղեցին չի ընդունում մեռյալների վերադարձը «փառաբանող» այս միջոցառումը` դա դիտարկելով դասական սատանիզմ: 
Հայ երիտասարդներից ոմանց համար հավանաբար քիչ են հայկական տոները, գուցե սա է պատճառը, որ վերջին տարիներին տարբեր օտար տոներ են նշվում Հայաստանում:

Ցանկացած միջոցառման նախապատրաստվելիս և այն հանրության լայն շրջանում քարոզելուց առաջ` հարկ է այն արմատապես ուսումնասիրել, հասկանալ, թե իրականում ինչ է քարոզում, ապա լծվել դրա PR կամպանիային: Տոնի խորհուրդը պետք է իմանալ հիմքից` չմոռանալով, թե իրականում դու որ արժեհամակարգի և գենետիկ հոգեկերտվածքի կրողն ես: Հակառակ դեպքում՝ երևույթը տառացի կրկնորինակումն ու համընդհանուր պրոպագանդան հղի է կործանարար հետևանքներով:
