Այս երիտասարդ մարզաձևն արագ տեմպերով աճում է, ավելանում են և՛ մասնակիցների, և՛ երկրպագուների, և՛ սպորտաձևին անդրադարձող լրատվամիջոցների թիվը:
Ձմեռային վոլեյբոլի մասսայականացման մասին են վկայում Եվրոպայի արդեն 17 երկրներում անցկացվող ազգային առաջնությունները: Ավանդաբար ձմեռային մարզաձևերում աչքի ընկնող երկրներին ավելացել են Թուրքիան, Վրաստանը, Հունաստանը, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանը:
Ազգային առաջնություններում հաղթող զույգերը՝ թե՛ տղամարդկանց, թե՛ կանանց, իրավունք կնվաճեն մասնակցելու առաջին անգամ անցկացվող Ձմեռային վոլեյբոլի Եվրոպայի առաջնությանը, որը տեղի կունենա Ավստրիայում:
Ձմեռային վոլեյբոլի Հայաստանի բաց առաջնությունը՝ Tsaghkadzor Open-2018-ը, կանցկացվի հունվարի 20-ից 21-ը: Տղամարդկանց և կանանց մրցումներում մասնակից զույգերի թիվը մեծ է, ավելի քան 15 զույգ հայտ են ներկայացրել ուժերը փորձել Ծաղկաձորյան մրցաշարում և նվաճել Եվրոպայի առաջին առաջնության ուղեգիր:
