 ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը հոկտեմբերի 29-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում ԵՄ գրասենյակի նորանշանակ ղեկավար, դեսպան Պյոտր Սվիտալսկուն: ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարը ողջունել և շնորհավորել է դեսպանին Հայաստանում ԵՄ գրասենյակի ղեկավարի պաշտոնը ստանձնելու կապակցությամբ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, հանդիպման ընթացքում Հայաստանի պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը նշել է, որ վերջին շրջանում ակտիվացել են Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերությունները և նկատվում է համագործակցության դինամիկ զարգացում: Քննարկումների ընթացքում կարևորվել է Հայաստանի պետական կառավարման ոլորտում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին, ինչպես նաև ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտների զարգացմանը Եվրամիության կողմից ցուցաբերվող օժանդակությունը, և ընդգծվել է Հայաստանի և Եվրամիության միջև ձևավորված արդյունավետ համագործակցությունը և բոլոր հնարավոր ոլորտներում ակտիվ երկխոսության շարունակականության անհրաժեշտությունը:

Հանդիպման ավարտին Հայաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարը ևս մեկ անգամ շնորհավորել է Պյոտր Սվիտալսկուն` հույս հայտնելով, որ Հայաստանում միջազգային առանցքային կազմակերպության առաքելության ղեկավարի պաշտոնում դեսպանն իր ավանդը կներդնի Հայաստանի և Եվրամիության միջև հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացման գործում:
