Կրակի և օդի նշանները արական, դրական և էքստրավերտ են, հողի ու ջրի նշանները` իգական, բացասական և ինտրովերտ:

Հրային նշաններն են` Խոյը, Առյուծը և Աղեղնավորը, այս նշաններին բնորոշ է առաջնորդությունն ու ստեղծագործական էներգիան: Հուրը ոգու և երևույթների սկզբի խորհրդանիշն է, այն հնուց ի վեր հոգևոր անմար կրակի խորհրդանիշն էր, այդ պատճառով էլ նա մշտապես առկա էր կրոնական ծեսերում և պաշտամունքային վայրերում: Հրային տարրերքի նշանները կապված են ակտիվ և էքսպանսիվ գործունեության հետ, ուժեղ արտահայտված հուր տարրերքի դեպքում անձը, որպես կանոն, ջերմեռանդ է, արագ ոգևորվող և մարող, քաջարի, նախաձեռնող, բռնկվող, կրքոտ, ուժեղ, իշխանասեր և առաջնորդ: Մյուս տարերքների հետ հուրը փոխազդում է հետևյալ կերպ` հողն ու ջուրը նրան հանգցնում և սառեցնում են, իսկ օդը` բորբոքում և կենդանացնում է նրան:

Հողային նշաններն են` Ցուլը, Կույսն ու Այծեղջյուրը, այս նշաններին բնորոշ է կայունությունն ու կուտակման հակումը, քանի որ նրանք առնչվում են նյութական պաշարների հետ: Հողը բնության ամենաարգասավոր տարրերքն է, նրա հետ է առնչվում երկրագործական տարվա պարբերաշրջանը, որն իր արտացոլումն է գտնում երկրագործական մշակույթների օրացույցերում: Պատահական չէ, որ պտղաբերության հնագույն խորհրդանիշներն են Ցուլը և բնության մայր-աստվածուհին` Կույսը: Հող տարրերքի առատության դեպքում անձը ունի կայուն և հանգիստ բնավորություն, վստահելի է և պատասխանատու, իրատես, զգուշավոր և պրակտիկ: Կրակն այրում է հողը, օդը` խեղդում, իսկ ջուրը պարգևում ե նրան արգասաբերություն և կենդանություն:

Ջրերի ակունքն իր ձեռքերում պահող երկնքի աստվածը/Ջրհոս/: Շումեր, մ.թ.ա. 3 հազարամյակ

Օդային նշաններն են` Երկվորյակները, Կշեռքը և Ջրհոսը, որոնց բնորոշ է կապի հաստատումն ու շփումը: Օդի տարերքը կապված է կենդանության ներշնչման հետ, այն ապրեցրել է բոլոր շնչավոր արարածներին, ապահովվոլով նրանց միասնությունն ու փոխհարաբերությունը: Հնուց ի վեր հուր տարրերքի հետ մեկտեղ օդը զորության և իշխանության, կյանքի և արդարության խորհրդանիշն է: Օդային նշանները առավելապես մարդակերպ են, քանի որ ավանդաբար մարդկային կերպարանք ունեցող էակների տեսքով են պատկերվել: Օդային նշանների շարքին է պատկանում նաև կենդանակերպի միակ առարկա-նշանը` Կշեռքը, որը արդարության և հավասարակշռության խորհուրդն է կրում: Օդ տարրերքի գերակշռության դեպքում անձը, որպես կանոն, չափազանց շփվող է, ընկերասեր, հեշտությամբ է ձեռք բերում նոր ծանոթություններ և գիտելիքներ, նա կենսախինդ է, արագաշարժ, ճարպիկ, բազմակողմանի, իդեալիստ, զբաղվում է հասարակական գործունեությամբ: Ջրի հետ փոխազդելիս օդը իրեն ետ մղված է զգում, հողը` ճնշում է նրան, իսկ հուրը` ապրեցնում:

Ջրային նշաններն են` Խեցգետինը, Կարիճը և Ձկները, որոնք բնութագրում են մարդկային զգացմունքները, համբերատարությունը, ենթագիտակցությունը: Ջուրը հոգու խորհրդանիշն է, հողի հետ մեկտեղ արգասաբեր տարրերք է, ոռոգելով հողն այն ապահովվում է առատ պտղաբերությունը, որը և նրան դարձնում է բնության հզոր կենատու ուժերից մեկը: Հնագույն շրջանում ջուրը պտղաբերությունից բացի խորհրդանշում էր այսր և անդրշիրիմյան աշխարհների սահմանագիծը, ինչպես նաև մահվան հաղթահարումն ու վերածնունդը/կենաց ջուր/: Երկրային կյանքի ակունքը Խեցգետինն է, երկնային ջրերի խորհրդանիշը` Ձկները, Կարիճը կանգնած է կյանքի և մահվան, նյութականի և հոգևորի սահմանագծում: Ջուր տարերքի առատությունը անձին դարձնում է գաղտնամիտ, երազկոտ, տարրերային, զգացմունքային, կանխազգացող, խորհրդավոր և քմահաճ: Հուրը եռացնում ու գոլորշիացնում է ջրին, օդը` ցրում և ալեկոծում, իսկ հողը ուղղություն է տալիս նրա անզուսպ հոսանքին:
