Պատասխանելով Հայկական ժամանակ-ի հարցերին, ՀՀԿ խմբակցության ղեկավար Վահրամ Բաղդասարյանը նշել է ՝ «Սերժ Սարգսյանը, չեմ կարծում, որ ունի հավակնություններ եւ չի հավակնել վարչապետի պաշտոնին: Մենք նման հարցեր չենք քննարկում։ Դուք հետևեք զարգացումներին, երբ մենք այդ հարցը քննարկման առարկա դարձնենք, կհայտարարենք։ Ես հասկանում եմ, որ մամուլը հետաքրքրասիրաբար պետք է խոսի նախագահի ապագայի մասին, որովհետև դա ընթեռնելի թեմա է, բայց հորդորում եմ սպասել: Մենք եթեներով չենք շարժվում: Խնդրում եմ զարգացումներից առաջ մի ընկեք, երբ կգա դեպքերի ժամանակը եւ մենք որոշում կայացրած կլինենք, բոլոր մեկնաբանություններին կպատասխանենք»:

 

Դավիթ Հարությունյանից հետո արդեն երկրորդ ծանրակշիռ հանրապետականն է փորձում Սարգսյանի անվերապահ վարչապետացման հեռանկարի մասին քննարկումներում մտցնել այլընտրանքային սցենար: Բայց, եթե մյուսների հայտարարություններում ակնհայտ զգացվում էր իրենց տեղի ու դերի հանդեպ վախը ՝ Սարգսյանի հարատևությունը փաստելով քողարկելու միտումը, ապա Հարությունյանի և Բաղդասարյանի դեպքում պատկերն այլ է: Նրանք կրկնում են այն, ինչ ասում էր նաև Սերժ Սարգսյանը:

Ճշմարտության համար պիտի ասել, որ իսկապես որևէ սցենար չկա և ամեն ինչ պարզ է լինելու միայն այդ պահին ու այդ իրավիճակում: Ցանկություններ, մտադրություններ կամ կանխատեսումներ կարող են լինել: Բայց 2016թ. ապրիլ ու հուլիս տեսած Սերժ Սարգսյանն ու նրա թիմը, թերևս հասկացել են, որ նույնիսկ սահմանադրական փոփոխությունները բավարար չեղան իշխանության վերարտադրության պրոցեսը հեշտացնելու համար: ՀՀԿ-ն ինքնազսպման մեխանիզմով փորձում է զերծ մնալ «արխային ընկնելուց», շատ լավվ հասկանալով, որ առերևույթ անվտանգ թվացող իրավիճակները իրենց դեմ շրջվելու ավանդույթ ունեն: Եվ հիմա դրսևորում են ավելորդ զգուշավորություն:
