Ներքաղաքական բազմաթիվ խնդիրների մեջ մենք կորցնում ենք ամենակարևոր հարցերն ու դրանց պատասխանները: Քննարկման առիթ են դառնում օրինագծեր, նախագծեր, զորավարժություններ, դատավարություններ: Բայց այս ամենը, այս բոլոր առանձին դրվագները այդպես էլ մնում են առանձին դրվագներ, չեն ամբողջանում և չեն դառնում մեկ սյուժեի մաս: Չի ձևակերպվում որևէ տեսլական, որևէ քաղաքական ծրագիր, որի մեջ կտեղավորվեն մնացած բոլոր, առավել փոքր քայլերն ու քննարկումները: 

Քննարկվում է Սարգսյան-Կարապետյան հակադրությունը, բայց չի քննարկվում, թե այդ հակադրության ավարտից հետո, ի վերջո ինչ գիծ է ընտրելու Հայաստանը: Քննարկկվում է ներդրումների հարցը, բայց չի տրվում ՝ թե հանուն ինչի, դեպի ուր հարցերի պատասխանը: Ամեն ինչ, ըստ էության, կրում է ինքնանպատակ բնույթ: 

Հասարակությանը մեղադրել, իհարկե, կարելի է: Այդպես նաև հեշտ է, որովհետև բազմաթիվ արատներ արտացոլված են հասարակության տարբեր շերտերում: Բայց քաղաքական պատասխաանտվությունը վերնախավի վրա է, որը, սակայն, գործիքակազմն ու նպատակը շփոթել է իրար հետ: Մաֆիա խաղի գործելաոճը կարող է լինել քաղաքականության գործիք, բայց չի կարող փոխարինել բուն քաղաքականությանը: Ի վերջո գալիս է մի պահ, երբ բոլոր հակադրությունները, կոնֆլիկտները հասնում են հստակ դիրքորոշումներ արտահայտելու փուլին:

Իսկ Հայաստանը չունի հստակ դիրքորոշում ՝ ոչ ներքաղաքական, ոչ արտաքին քաղաքական կյանքում: Անշուշտ ՝ մենք փոքր պետություն ենք, ու հաճախ ստիպված ենք պարզապես վերադասավորվել արտաքին աշխարհում տեղի ունեցող փոփոխությունների ներքո, փոխել կուրսը, մանևրել: Բայց սա ևս անվերջ չի կարող տևել: Հայաստանն այսպես հնարավոր կլինի կառավարել, բայց Հայաստանում ապրել ՝ ոչ: Քանի դեռ չկա որևէ տեսլական, որևէ կանխատեսելիություն երաշխավորող ծրագիր ՝ հասարակական ապատիան շարունակվելու է ու դրսևորվելու է առաջին հերթին հենց արտագաղթի տեսքով: Այդ ժամանակ ստացվելու է, որ Հայաստանը բարեհաջող մանևրել է ու անցել բոլոր փորձությունները, բայց այլևս դադարել է պետություն լինել:
