 Դեկտեմբերի 7-ին Մինսկի Սբ. Ալեքսանդր Նևսկու եկեղեցու բակում գտնվող 1988թ. Սպիտակի երկրաշարժի զոհերի հիշատակը հավերժացնող խաչքարի մոտ Բելառուսում ՀՀ դեսպանության անձնակազմի և հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների մասնակցությամբ կայացավ երկրաշարժի զոհերի հիշատակին նվիրված արարողություն:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտգործնախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, Բելառուսում ՀՀ դեսպան Օլեգ Եսայանը, ելույթ ունենալով ներկաների առջև, անդրադարձավ հայ ժողովրդի համար 1988թ. տեղի ունեցած ողբերգական իրադարձություններին, խոսեց վերածնվելու և ապաքինվելու նրա անկոտրում կամքի մասին՝ շնորհակալություն հայտնելով այն երկրներին, որոնք այդ դժվարին օրերին օգնության ձեռք մեկնեցին հայ ժողովրդին:

Այնուհետև արարողության մասնակիցները ծաղկեպսակներ խոնարհեցին հուշաքարին և մեկ րոպե լռությամբ հարգեցին երկրաշարժի զոհերի հիշատակը:

Դեկտեմբերի 7-ին Բաթումի Սուրբ Փրկիչ եկեղեցում տեղի ունեցավ հիշատակի արարողություն՝ նվիրված 1988թ. Սպիտակի ավերիչ երկրաշարժի տարելիցին, որից հետո ՀՀ գլխավոր հյուպատոսության, համայնքային կառույցների ու անհատների կողմից եկեղեցու բակում տեղակայված խաչքարի մոտ ծաղիկներ խոնարհվեցին զոհվածների հիշատակին:

Ներկաների առջև ելույթով հանդես եկան ՀԱԵ հոգևոր հովիվ Տեր Արարատ քահանա Գումբալյանը և ՀՀ գլխավոր հյուպատոս Եղիշե Սարգսյանը, ով, մասնավորապես, անդրադարձավ երկրաշարժի հետևանքների վերացմանն ուղղված ՀՀ իշխանությունների ձեռնարկած միջոցներին, աղետի գոտում իրականացվող սոցիալ-տնտեսական աշխատանքներին:

Նույն օրը Ալեքսանդր Մանթաշյանի անվան հայկական կրթամշակութային կենտրոնում ցուցադրվեց ֆիլմ Սպիտակի երկրաշարժի վերաբերյալ:
