Կանադայի Մոնրեալ քաղաքի Սուրբ Հակոբ հայկական դպրոցում սիրիահայ ուսանողները հավաքվել են բարեգործական նպատակներով: 

Ինչպես հայտնում է Horizon Weekly-ն, նրանք մտադիր են նվիրաբերել իրենց վարսերը քաղցկեղով հիվանդ մարդկանց համար կեղծամներ պատրաստելու նպատակով: Տվյալ միջոցառմանը 6 ուսանող է մասնակցել: Նրանք են՝ Հալեպում բնակվող Փաթիլը, Սիլվին, Ալիկը, Թալինը, Արթուրը և Մկրտիչը, որոնք աջակցում են նաև Cedars Cancer Foundation հիմնադրամին, որն զբաղվում է քաղցկեղով հիվանդների համար դրամահավաքի անցկացմամբ: 

Բարեգործական միջոցառումն անցկացվել է դպրոցի դահլիճում՝ հայկական փոփ երաժշտության ներքո:

Սիրիահայերը Կանադա են ժամանել 2015-ից սկսած՝ 49 000 սիրիացի փախստականների կազմում, որոնցից 11 000-ը տեղավորվել է Քվեբեկում: 

«Ես ինձ լավ եմ զգում: Ես հպարտ եմ», - ասել է Մկրտիչը՝ խոստանալով կրկին երկարացնել մազերը և կտրել բարեգործական նպատակով հաջորդ տարի:
