Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը նոյեմբերի 27-ին ընդունել է ՌԴ Դաշնային ժողովի Պետական դումայում խորհրդարանական մեծամասնություն կազմող իշխող քաղաքական ուժի՝ «Միասնական Ռուսաստան» կուսակցության պատվիրակությանը, որի կազմում են նաև Պետական դումայի միջազգային հարցերով հանձնաժողովի անդամներ: 

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրերին և ընդգծելով, որ Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի միջև համագործակցությունը իրավամբ բնութագրվում է որպես ռազմավարական և դաշնակցային՝ Հանրապետության Նախագահը գոհունակությամբ է փաստել, որ երկկողմ հարաբերություններն առանձնանում են մշտական ակտիվ քաղաքական երկխոսությամբ, արտաքին քաղաքական կոորդինացման բարձր մակարդակով, արդյունավետ աշխատանքով միջազգային հարթակներում, շատ լավ համագործակցությամբ տնտեսության, ռազմական, ռազմատեխնիկական, ինչպես նաև հումանիտար ոլորտներում:

Հարաբերությունների նման բարձր մակարդակը, Նախագահի խոսքով, երկու բարեկամ երկրները նշում են դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 25-ամյակի և Բարեկամության, համագործակցության և փոխադարձ օգնության մասին պայմանագրի ստորագրման 20-ամյակի տարում, և այդ հարաբերությունների հիմքում ընկած է ոչ միայն գործադիր, այլ նաև օրենսդիր մարմինների մակարդակով սերտ համագործակցությունը: Նախագահ Սարգսյանը մեծապես կարևորել է Հայաստանում սահմանադրական փոփոխություններից հետո խորհրդարանական կառավարման համակարգին անցնելու պայմաններում միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության նշանակությունը:

Նախագահը հայ-ռուսական բազմակողմ գործընկերության կարևոր բաղկացուցիչ է համարել նաև Հայաստանի Հանրապետական կուսակցության և «Միասնական Ռուսաստան» կուսակցության միջև սերտ համագործակցությունը:

Զրուցակիցները համակարծիք են եղել, որ միջկուսակցական կապերը զգալի ներդրում են ունենում միջպետական և միջխորհրդարանական շփումների, երկու բարեկամ երկրների և ժողովուրդների հարաբերությունների զարգացման գործում: Նրանք գոհունակությամբ են խոսել նաև ՀՀԿ և «Միասնական Ռուսաստան» կուսակցությունների երիտասարդական կազմակերպությունների միջև զարգացող համագործակցության մասին:

Պատվիրակությունը գլխավորող «Միասնական Ռուսաստան» կուսակցության գլխավոր խորհրդի քարտուղարի տեղակալ, Պետդումայի պատգամավոր Սերգեյ Ժելեզնյակը նշել է, որ Հայաստանում իրականացվող բավականին իմաստուն և կշռադատված քաղաքականությունն այսօր թույլ է տալիս առավելագույնս օգտագործել զարգացման այն ներուժը, որն ունի Հանրապետությունը:

Նա ընդգծել է, որ ՌԴ իշխող կուսակցությունը կողմ է հարաբերությունների և համագործակցության զարգացման «և՛, և՛»-ի, այլ ոչ թե «կա՛մ, կա՛մ»-ի քաղաքականությանը: Հայաստանն այդ համատեքստում է զարգացնում իր հարաբերությունները ՌԴ-ի և ԵՄ-ի հետ, ուստի, ըստ Սերգեյ Ժելեզնյակի, բոլոր այն տեսակետները, որոնք տարբերվում են վերոնշյալ դիրքորոշումից, չեն արտահայտում ՌԴ պաշտոնական և իշխող քաղաքական ուժի մոտեցումները:
