«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ Իսպանիայում ընթացող ՖԻԴԵ-ի Գրան Պրիի վերջին տուրում Արոնյանը մրցում էր Հիկարու Նակամուրայի հետ: Արոնյանը խաղում էրսև խաղաքարերով: Պարտիան ավարտվեց ոչ-ոքի: Արոնյանը հավաքեց 5,5 միավոր և դարձավ մրցաշարի հաղթող:
